MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 26, 1987 <br />Baldwin opened the meeting at 7:00 P.M. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Chenoweth, Cierna, and Hard. <br />and S. Chenoweth <br />Also present were Wiessner, Marx, <br />ABSENT <br />Wallin. <br />MINUTES OF AUGUST 12, 1987 APPROVED <br />Ciernia moved, seconded by Chenoweth, approval of the Minutes of August <br />12, 1987. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED WITH ADDENDUM <br />Council approved the Consent Agenda with the addition of Item 11, Request <br />from Joan E. Paulson, 1511 W. Idaho, for a Block Party, and Item 12, <br />Request from Cindy Laszewski, 1713 St. Mary's, for a Block Party. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />1. Fire and Ambulance Reports <br />2. Payroll 8/1/87 - 8/15/87 -$7,598.60 <br />3. General Disbursements to 8/26/87 - $60,358.44 <br />4. Sinking Disbursements to 8/26/87 - $136,628.75 <br />5. Park and Recreation Minutes of July 13, 1987 <br />6. Planner's Statement for Month Ending July 31, 1987 <br />7. Engineer's Statement through July 25, 1987 <br />8. Bi-Monthly Financial Report <br />9. Ramsey County Sheriff's Report for July, 1987 <br />10. Licenses <br />ADDENDUM TO AGENDA <br />Council added Item F(6), Restoration of Easement Area at 1786 Tatum <br />(Richard Stowman residence). <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW CITY ATTORNEY, TIM MARX <br />John Van de North, Briggs and Morgan, introduced Tim Marx, the attorney <br />recently assigned to Falcon Heights. <br />ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHTING FOR 1666 COFFMAN APPROVED <br />Baldwin presented a letter dated August 13th from Edward M. Lindberg, <br />President of 1666 Coffman Condominium Association, explaining the need for <br />additional street lighting and requesting Council consider placement of <br />two additional lights. Several residents of 1666 Coffman were in <br />attendance to support the request. After a discussion Hard moved, <br />seconded by Chenoweth, approval of up to two additional standard street <br />lights, the placement to be determined by representatives of 1666 Coffman, <br />Northern States Power, and Wiessner. Motion carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO DISEASED ELM TREE AT 1358 W. IOWA <br />Council discussed a letter from Sharon K. Digre, the property owner at <br />66 <br />
