MINUTES <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 4, 1987 <br />Baldwin called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Ciernia, Wallin, Hard, Chenoweth, and Baldwin. Also present were Wiessner <br />and S. Chenoweth. <br />ADDENDA TO AGENDAS <br />Council approved addition of the following items to the Policy Agenda: <br />F(2) Consider Banning Parking on East Side of Cleveland, Larpenteur to <br />Roselawn, and F(3) Rock-A-Fellas Infractions, and, the following additions <br />to the Consent Agenda: 4) Planning Commission Minutes of November 2, 1987, <br />and 5) Licenses. <br />MINUTES OF OCTOBER 28, 1987 APPROVED <br />Council accepted the Minutes of October 28, 1987 as presented. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda: <br /> 1. Fire and Rescue Reports <br /> 2. Payroll 10/16/87 - 10/31/87 $ 6,934.69 <br /> 3. Disbursements through November 4, 1987 $16,138.43 <br /> 4. <br />5. Planning Commission Minutes of November <br />Licenses 2, 1987 <br /> VARIANCE REQUEST FROM ROBERT A. GALL, 1867 ARONA, APPROVED <br />Council approved Mr. Gall's request to construct a room addiition 26 feet <br />from a side lot line which abuts a street (code requires 30 feet) as <br />unanimously recommended by the Planning Commission on November 2, 1987. <br />REQUEST TO CONSIDER BANNING PARKING ON CLEVELAND, LARPENTEUR TO ROSELAWN, <br />DEFERRED to 11/18/87 <br />Hard commented on a problem he had encountered when a stalled car was <br />unable to be moved from the traffic lane because the shoulder area was <br />completely filled with parked vehicles, and a possible hazard caused by <br />persons using the athletic field across the street. Wiessner explained <br />she had discussed the matter with Clinton Hewitt of the University and he <br />had requested no action be taken until he could contact University <br />personnel who might be interested in the problem. After a discussion <br />Council deferred the matter to November 18th to allow time to obtain <br />further input. <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING INFRACTIONS AT ROC-A-FELLAS ARCADE - DEFERRED TO <br />11/18/87 <br />Baldwin informed Council that the City's deputies had observed an after <br />hours party at Rock-A-Fellas last week end and several citations were <br />issued. Alex Elvgren, representing Dahlco Music and Vending, owners of <br />Roc-A-Fellas, explained to Council that they were not aware of the <br />incident until this afternoon and did not yet have the facts. He <br />requested Counc it defer making any decision until the next meeting in <br />order that they might have time to investigate the matter. <br />f <br />
