<br />REGULAR MEETING - MONDAY, JUNE P7, 19lt9 <br />Present: <br />Lynn Matteson, President <br />George Sha~or, Trustee <br />Art Lindig, Trustee <br />John Rysgaard, Trustee <br />L• B• Rowley, Deputy Clerk <br />Ralph Van Hoven, Treasurer <br />Frank Graham, Attorney <br /> <br />The Council met as a Board of Review at 7:30 p.m. Wm. Torgerson, Assessor, submitted <br />his report which the Council reviewed. The certificate was signed by Matteson and Row- <br />ley, Mayor and Deputy Clerk respectively. <br />The Council meeting was called to order by President Matteson at 8:15 p.m. <br />CourtEy Surveyor Street Commissioner Seaborn introduced to the Council Mr. <br />Anker from the County Engineers office. Mr. Anker reported <br />that a survey had been made of the alley between Larpenteur <br />and California from Arona to Pascal and he recommended that <br />a catch basin be installed at the .corner of California and <br />Arona and another catch basin at the low point in the alley, <br />with culverts leading from both catch basins across the <br />street to the culvert which Mr. Steffnitz has proposed to <br />install. <br />Mr. Anker further reported that in regard to the Wilson prop- <br />erty aturn-around could be made in the shap of a "T." by <br />using the north 50 feet of Lot 2, Block 10 and the south <br />50 feet of Lot 12, Block $. The alleys could be vacated by <br />a petition to the Village Council. It was thought that <br />Mr. Wilson should submit the petition. It was agreed that <br />Matteson should contact Mr. Wilson regarding the. matter. <br />Hermes Petition N. L. Hermes submitted a petition covering Lots 8, 9, 11, 12, <br /> 13, ~, 35, 36, 37, and 38 Crossroads Eddition and asked that <br /> they be rezoned from residence A to business. John Rysgaard <br /> moved the adoption of the following resolution: <br /> RESOLVED, that a hearing on the petition submitted by <br /> N. L. Hermes be set for July 12 at 8:00 p.m. and the Deputy <br /> Clerk be directed to post notices of such meeting. Motion <br /> seconded by Lindig and carried.. Frank Graham was asked to <br /> prepare the notices for the special hearing. <br />Advertise for bids Upon recommendation by Harry Anderson, Rysgaard moved adop- <br />for 750 gal. pumper tion of the following resolution: RESOLVED, that the Deputy <br /> Clerk be and he hereby is directed to advertise for bids for <br /> a 75A gallon pumper in accordance with the specifications <br /> recommended by Harry Anderson and that bids be received until <br /> July 12, 1949 at 7:30 p. m. and be opened at the regular <br /> meeting of the Council to be held on July 12. The specifi- <br /> cations shall be filed with Mx• George Swanson at 2025 <br /> Larpenteur Avenue and the bids may be received by him. The <br /> motion was seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />Advertise for bids Upon recommendation by Harry Anderson, Rysgaard moved adop- <br />fire hose tion of the following resolution: RESOLVED, that the Deputy <br /> Clerk be and he hereby is directed to advertise for bids for <br /> 1500 feet of 2~" fire hose and 300 feet of 121 fire hose in <br /> accordance with the specifications recommended by Harry <br />1 <br />1 <br />
