SPECIAL MEETING - TUESDAY, JULY 5, 1919 Present: Lynn Matteson, George Shavor, Trustee Art Lindig, Trustee E• B. Rovrley„ Deputy Clerk Ralph pan Hoven, Treasurer Absent: John Rysgaard 2`9 The meeting was called to order by Matteson at ,7:30 p. m. Electrical Bids The bids for the electrical work for the village hall fire station were open. They are as follows: (Each bid includes X1200 for fixtures) Tieso & Ko#tka X3,577 Peoples Electric 3,459 St. Paul Electric 2,785 Ernest Nelson 3,175 The bids were referred to Architecht Buetow. Buetow~s report on Buetow reported he had gone over the general contract on the Witcher~s bid fire station with the other low bidder, Dean Witcher. After making the various changes specified, his bid was X36,070. Bills: The following bills were presented for payment: Geo. Swanson, Fire Chief, volunteer firemen for May ~ 11.00 n n n n n June 35.00 S• Berglund Lumber, for fire dept. 9.54 St. Paul Legal Ledger, advertising bids fire hose 2.90 St. Paul Legal Ledger, advertising bids for pumper 2.90 Northwest Publications, publishing weed law 2.88 Stan Seaborn, services for April, May, and June 57.00 R_ysgaard moved, seconded by Lindig, that-bills be paid. Motion carried. Licenses for Rowley reported he had received a request from Mr. Berntson of Berntson the Falcon Hts. Pharmacy for an off-sale beer license and ciga- rette license, together with a X17.00 check in payment. Shavor y moved, seconded by Lindig, that both licenses be granted to Mr. Berntson. Motion carried. Van Hoven Report on Van Hoven reported completion of the township affairs as far as To:rnship affairs. the books were concerned. Matteson Stepnitz Petition stated the necessary notices of the hearing had been posted. A petition was filed by Associated Investors for the rezoning of 3 parcels of land -- Parcel A, located on Arona between Arona and the Norther~,States Power sub-station, rezoned from farm resi- dance to business; Parcel B, located between the sub-station and the land owned by the Minnesota Amusement to the-west of the sub- station, from farm residence to business; Parcel C, located on Arona between Parcel A and the residences on Idaho, extending over to the Minnesota Amusement property, with provision for an alley to form an entrance from Idaho, rezoned from farm residence to residence ~. Matteson outlined the procedures to be followed din conducting the hearing. Matteson called first on the people presenting the petition and asked them to state their reasons for requesting this rezoning.
