SPECIAL MEETING - TUESDAY, JULY 5, 1919 <br />Present: <br />Lynn Matteson, <br />George Shavor, Trustee <br />Art Lindig, Trustee <br />E• B. Rovrley„ Deputy Clerk <br />Ralph pan Hoven, Treasurer <br />Absent: John Rysgaard <br />2`9 <br />The meeting was called to order by Matteson at ,7:30 p. m. <br />Electrical Bids The bids for the electrical work for the village hall fire <br />station were open. They are as follows: (Each bid includes <br />X1200 for fixtures) <br />Tieso & Ko#tka X3,577 <br />Peoples Electric 3,459 <br />St. Paul Electric 2,785 <br />Ernest Nelson 3,175 <br />The bids were referred to Architecht Buetow. <br />Buetow~s report on Buetow reported he had gone over the general contract on the <br />Witcher~s bid fire station with the other low bidder, Dean Witcher. After <br />making the various changes specified, his bid was X36,070. <br />Bills: The following bills were presented for payment: <br />Geo. Swanson, Fire Chief, volunteer firemen for May ~ 11.00 <br />n n n n n June 35.00 <br />S• Berglund Lumber, for fire dept. 9.54 <br />St. Paul Legal Ledger, advertising bids fire hose 2.90 <br />St. Paul Legal Ledger, advertising bids for pumper 2.90 <br />Northwest Publications, publishing weed law 2.88 <br />Stan Seaborn, services for April, May, and June 57.00 <br />R_ysgaard moved, seconded by Lindig, that-bills be paid. Motion <br />carried. <br />Licenses for Rowley reported he had received a request from Mr. Berntson of <br />Berntson the Falcon Hts. Pharmacy for an off-sale beer license and ciga- <br />rette license, together with a X17.00 check in payment. Shavor <br />y moved, seconded by Lindig, that both licenses be granted to <br />Mr. Berntson. Motion carried. <br />Van Hoven Report on Van Hoven reported completion of the township affairs as far as <br />To:rnship affairs. the books were concerned. Matteson <br />Stepnitz Petition stated the necessary notices of the hearing had been posted. A <br /> petition was filed by Associated Investors for the rezoning of <br /> 3 parcels of land -- Parcel A, located on Arona between Arona <br /> and the Norther~,States Power sub-station, rezoned from farm resi- <br /> dance to business; Parcel B, located between the sub-station and <br /> the land owned by the Minnesota Amusement to the-west of the sub- <br /> station, from farm residence to business; Parcel C, located on <br /> Arona between Parcel A and the residences on Idaho, extending <br /> over to the Minnesota Amusement property, with provision for an <br /> alley to form an entrance from Idaho, rezoned from farm residence <br /> to residence ~. Matteson outlined the procedures to be followed <br /> din conducting the hearing. Matteson called first on the people <br /> presenting the petition and asked them to state their reasons for <br /> requesting this rezoning. <br />
