Lindig, Trustee <br />Clarence Rekstad, Trustee <br />Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk <br />Frank N. Graham, Attorney <br /> <br />r <br />Absent: <br />Ralph Yan Hoven, Treasurer <br />Meeting called to order at 7:3fl pm., and minutes of February 14 meeting approved <br />as read. <br />F. J. Hammond, F. J. Hammond, Attorney, assoofated with Briggs, Gilbert, <br />Attorney, re Morton, Kyle and Macartney, was present and reported that <br />bus service at Mr. Graham's request he had attended the hearing of the <br />Minnesota Railroad and Warehouse Commission on Monday, <br />February 20, at which the discontinuance of the Rice-Payne <br />Avenue bus line in St Paul, was considered. Mr. Hammond <br />reported also on a meeting with members of the Larpenteur <br />Snelling Community Club in connection with the hearing on <br />discontinuance of bus service in Falcon Heights, set for <br />Thursday, February 23. Steps proposed to be taken at this <br />hearing were presented and discussed. <br />Village Hall and Harry Anderson reported that Rysgaard has. bills from the <br />Fire Station St Paul Electric Company and from A.v. Winterer & Son, <br />heater. and suggests that no fu rthar payment on these aocounts be <br />made until he has checked the bills. Says there is some <br />question as to plumbing and that contraotor has bean asked <br />to equip heaters with different blades so as to provide for <br />proper amount of heat and quieter operation. <br />State and Federal Anderson also mentioned a news item regarding money that <br />money for road had been allocated for oounty roads to be matched by federal <br />improvements. funds. He suggested contacting the County Engineer to see <br />if these funds would. be available for drainage improvements <br />on Larpenteur Avenue east of Snelling. <br />Stepladder and Anderson recommended that the Fire Department be provided <br />miscl. items with an 8-foot stepladder Por painting and reaching lights. <br />Also requested paper towels and soap dishes. <br />Bills: Following bills were presented: <br />Northern States Power Co., service to Jan. 23, X32.52 <br />Sperry Office Furniture Co., post binder for <br />ordinances, miscl. office supplies, X613.46 <br />Northwestern Hell Telephone Co.,Feb.10 bi11,Ne 5200, X5.45 <br />Northwestern Refining Co.,700 gala. #2 fuel oil, $85.48 <br />Volunteer Firemen payroll, Jan. 1950, $44.00 <br />Payment of bills moved by Lindig, seconded by Shavor, and <br />so ordered. <br />I <br />I <br />
