M. by the Mayor. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of Thursday, December 11, 1952 <br />were read and approved. <br />General .The council heard Mr. Ernest Peikert, 2020 Washington Ave, 3. <br />Outdoor Minneapolis of the General Outdoor Advertising Cwoopany <br />Adv. Co. regarding their large "bill board" type advertising signs <br />on the southwest corner of Larpenteur and Pascal. He stated <br />that the signs were installed in 1944, have recently been <br />improved through the addition of stainless steel trim, and <br />the lease with their present client runs to July I0, 1953. <br />The lease contract has a 30 day cancellation clause by either <br />party. Mr. Peikert requested permission to leave .the signs <br />up, at least until July 10, 1953, if possible. The council <br />took the matter under advisement and informed Mr. Peikert <br />that the clerk would notify his firm after the council <br />discusses the matter. <br />
