M. by the Mayor. The minutes of the regular meeting of Thursday, December 11, 1952 were read and approved. General .The council heard Mr. Ernest Peikert, 2020 Washington Ave, 3. Outdoor Minneapolis of the General Outdoor Advertising Cwoopany Adv. Co. regarding their large "bill board" type advertising signs on the southwest corner of Larpenteur and Pascal. He stated that the signs were installed in 1944, have recently been improved through the addition of stainless steel trim, and the lease with their present client runs to July I0, 1953. The lease contract has a 30 day cancellation clause by either party. Mr. Peikert requested permission to leave .the signs up, at least until July 10, 1953, if possible. The council took the matter under advisement and informed Mr. Peikert that the clerk would notify his firm after the council discusses the matter.
