<br />A?eeting called to order at 7:35 P.Ri., with roll call recording the following
<br />council members present: Robert E. Stenzinger, Pfiayor; George J, Shavor, Trustee;
<br />Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Clyde J, Stewart, Clerk,
<br />Also present - 'itilliam E. Qlsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney,
<br />~~finutes of regular meeting January 27, 19511, and of special meeting, February
<br />5, 19511, were read. Minutes of January 27, page l~la2, re civil service, were then
<br />corrected in two places to read ~~a 3/5 vote" instead of na 2/3 vote" of the council.
<br />The mines of January 27, 1951,, as corrected, and of special meeting February 5,
<br />19511 `ywere then approved,
<br />Stepnitz Letter of February 9, 195!1, was read from VF. F. Stepnitz Agency,
<br />Rezoning enclosing plat showing four irregular pieces of property bounded
<br />by Snelling Drive, Larpenteur, Arona and Idaho avenues, owned .
<br />by the Associated Investors, Inc., which the owners wish to
<br />rezone for development purposes. After discussion, Hustrulid
<br />moved. that the letter and plat be referred to our Planning
<br />Commission for recommendation. Cartwright seconded and motion
<br />carried unanimously.
<br />Letter was read. from the I~,innesota Safety Council, dated January
<br />Minn. 27, 19511, relating to completion of annual reports for traffic
<br />Safety safety contests, and information needed in this connection from
<br />Council Falcon Heights when qtr. R, V. Juetten, Assistant Secretary of the
<br />Minnesota Safety Council, will be in the Village on Tuesday,
<br />March 2, 19511. on motion by Cartwright, seconded by Hustrulid,
<br />it was voted unanimously that the Clerk secure the necessary
<br />information for completing the form and returning same to the

<br />Water main Letter of February !t, 19511, from thater Department, City of St Paul,
<br />extension, regarding supplying water service to Lot 2, Block 10, Northome 2.nd
<br />Iowa .Ave. Addition, quoting estimated cost of 4~1t50.00 for said service
<br />extension. The clerk explained that it. had been reported to him
<br />that the party for whom this information had been developed., Per.
<br />Gerald Anderson, was no longer interested in the property, and
<br />further explained. that another interested party, Mrs. Cassi~.~,
<br />upon learning that the lot ad3acent to Lot 2 on the west was Village ,
<br />owned, stated they could make their own arrangements with the
<br />'rater Department for the extension. Cartwright then moved that
<br />the matter be tabled. Seconded by Shavor and so ordered. .
<br />Fire Engineer- Subscription for our Fire Department to the magazine, Fire
<br />ing magazine Engineering, for one year at X3.50 or for two years at X6.00,
<br />was considered. Cartwright moved renewal of said magazine
<br />on the tiro-year basis. Seconded by Hustrulid and. carried
<br />unanimously,
