<br />Meeting called to order at 7:30 P,M., with roll call recording the following council
<br />members present: Robert E. Stenzinger, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Andrew
<br />Hustrulid, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Absent, David P. Cartwright, Trustee.
<br />William E. Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney, were present.
<br /> Upon request of the Mayor, it was agreed to dispense with the
<br /> regular order of business so as to permit discussion with
<br /> representatives of the Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association
<br />Purchase of relative to purchase by the Village of the property on which
<br />Village Hall the Village Hall and Fire Station is situated. Messrs, J. A.
<br />property C=allaher and F.D, Stanton, and Attorney L C, Webster, represent-
<br /> ing the Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association, were present
<br /> for the discussion. They offered on behalf of the Farmers Union
<br /> Grain Terminal Association to sell to the Village of Falcon Heights
<br /> the property on which the Village Hall and Fire Station is located
<br /> as described in the deed, for X7,500.00. After discussion and`
<br /> on motion by Shavor, seconded by Stewart, the following resolution
<br /> was adopted unanimously:
<br />Resolution WHEREAS, the council has determined. that this land is needed for
<br /> public purposes;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Council of the
<br />Village of Falcon Heights hereby determines that the following
<br />described land is needed for public purposes and that the Village
<br />council accepts the offer to purchase the following described
<br />land for the sum of X7,500.00 in cash, and that the Mayor, Clerk
<br />and Treasurer of said Village are hereby authorized and instructed
<br />to do all the things necessary to complete the purchase and pay for
<br />the land; the property hereby purchased is described as follows:
<br />The iffiest One Hundred Fifty (W.150) feet of the East
<br />One Hundred Sixty (E.150) feet°of the North Two Hundred
<br />Eighty-Three (N. 283) feet of the Northwest Quarter(N4Y 1/!~)
<br />of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/!~) of the Northeast Quarter
<br />(NE 4) o-f Section Twenty-One (21), Township Twenty-Nine (29),
<br />Range ~renty-~ire~(23),West f the Fourth Principal Pderidian,
<br />accordin to e overnment Survey thereof.
<br />Quitclaim Then on mot~on by Stewart, seconded by Shavor, the following
<br />deed - 10 ft. re®~lution was adopted unanimously:

<br />WHEREAS, it appears that a quit claim deed from the Village of
<br />Falcon Heights to the Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association,
<br />covering the property hereafter described, is necessary to clear
<br />title in Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association; '
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village of Falcon Heights has no interest
<br />in the following described property, and this property is not
<br />needed for public purposes, and the Mayor and Clerk are authorized
<br />and directed to sign and deliver a quit claim deed from the Village
<br />of Falcon Heights to the Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association,
<br />covering the following described property:
<br />The East Ten (E. 10) feet of the North Two Hundred.
<br />Eighty-Three (N.283) feet of the Northwest Quarter (A'W 1/I~)
<br />of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter
<br />(P1E 4) of Section Twenty-One (2.1), To~mship Twenty-Pdine(29),
<br />Range Twenty-Three (23) , ~a~est of the Fourth Pr~i.ncipal 'Meridian,
<br />according to the Government Survey thereof.
