4~7 <br />REGULAR MEETING, Y~EDNESDAY, AUGUST 11, 195l~ <br />Meeting called to order at 7s45 P.M., roll call recording all council members <br />present as follows: Robert E. Stenzinger, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; <br />Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. <br />Also present, ~Pilliam E. Olsen, Treasurer. Absent, Frank N, Graham, Attorney. <br />Minutes of July 28, 195 were read, and with respect to fill on Iowa Avenue lot, page 495, <br />were corrected to read "with the top of fill not to extenffi onto Lot 1." On motion by Hustrulid, <br />seconded by Shavor, the issuance of said licenses was <br />approved. <br />Reqn. X37 covering office supplies for the Clerk, also 5W 3~ postage <br />stamps for the cerx and treasurer, was approved on motion <br />by Cartwright, seconded by Hustrulid. <br />Reqn. X38 covering various items needed by the Fire Department was <br />discussed with the Fire Chief. Hustrulid then moved <br />r,;.; approval of said requisition, seconded by Stenzinger, and <br />motion carried. <br />Fire Dept. Fire~Chief~ Swanson's letter of August 1 was read, relating to <br />emergency repairs firA ~hltment emergency purchases and the question of <br />whether l repairs on engines #1 and #2 should be made by <br />the Park Machine, Inc. The Clerk also read a memo as <br />to previous action taken by the council with respect to <br />emergency fire department purchases. He also reported on <br />further Bonet with the Park Machine, Inc. owner who showed <br />him their ac~gunts covering complete truck service for firms <br />like the Mac~Motor Truck Corporation and J.L. Shiely Company, <br />also complete service on fire and other trucks owned by the <br />City of St Paul which are not serviced in the City's own shops. <br />Stewart then moved that the Park Machine Company be approved <br />as an established source for all work,requared on either of <br />our two fire trucks and that such arr"angement be renewable <br />yearly, as of this date. Seconded'by Shavor, and after some <br />discussion, the following vote w,as taken and recorded: <br />Ayes - Shavor <br />Hustrulid <br />Cartwright <br />Stewart .;~;~ <br />Nays - Stenzinger <br />The motion was then declared passed by a !t/5 Tote. <br />Motor bike <br />teen agars As scheduled, about 20 teen agars who ride motor bikes <br />appeared before the council, Mayor Stenzinger #i~t <br />presented Sheriff Gibbons who informed the boys that <br />his .off ice and deputies want to work with them in observing <br />laws governing the operation of motor bikes. Sheriff <br />Gibbons then introduced Deputy Sheriff Vic t~eber who he s$id <br />
