poi <br />REGULAR MEETING, WIDNESDAY, AUGUST Q5, 195t~ <br />Meeting called to order at 7:110 P.M., roll call recording all council members <br />present as follows: Robert E. Stenzinger, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; <br />Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. <br />Also present, William E. Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney, <br />Minutes of August 11, 19511 were read, and in connection with Cities Service Oil <br />Compar-y building permit, on page ~.9d, were corrected to include the word "generally' <br />in connection with plan dated August 5, 195l~. The minutes were then approved as <br />corrected. <br />State Fair Seven on-sale beer applications to sell non-intoxicating <br />On Sale beer malt liquors at various Minnesota State Fair locations <br />licenses beginning August 28 thru September 6, 1954, together <br />with check covering X35.00 license fee for each, were <br />received from the followings <br />Wm. S. Brede <br />Jack L. Robinson <br />Mrs. Katie R. Little <br />Miss Ina Forsman <br />Martin F. Thori <br />Gordon A. Schierman <br />Theodore B. Steichen <br />After discussion, Cartwright moved approval of said <br />applications. Seconded by Shavor and motion carried <br />unanimously. Mr. H.D. Johnston, Asst. Supt. Space <br />Rentals, Minnesota State Fair, being present, was <br />introduced and received the necessary licenses. <br />Fire Crackers Application from Prof. R.S. Dunham on behalf of the <br />permitted University of Minnesota to purchase and fire salutes <br />for scaring for the purpose of frightening birds away from the <br />birds Univ. University Experimental farm, was read. On motion by <br />Farm. Hustrulid,. seconded by Shavor, it was voted unanimously <br />to authorize said permit for a period of six weeks <br />expiring October 1, 1951,. <br />Master Gas for Dahl's Gas Heating Company, St Paul, Minnesota, <br />Installer's with check for X25.00 covering license fee thru <br />License #111 June 30, 1955, was presented. On motion by Hustrulid, <br /> secaided by Stenzinger, issuance of said license was <br /> approved as of August 1lt, 19511. <br />Watch for Children Letter of August 25, 19511, signed by Russell J. Stenberg, <br />signs for alley 15Q0 Crawford,aad Phillip J. Bifulk, 15!16 Crawford, <br /> requesting placement of '~Vfatch out for Children" signs <br /> at either end of the alley between Larpenteur and 6aalrfaa~ <br /> and Snelling and Arona because of heavy traffic and danger <br /> involved. Stewart moved that Street Commissioner Seaborn <br /> be asked to place the necessary order with the County <br /> Engineer for placement of said signs. Seconded by <br /> Stenzinger and so ordered. <br />
