<br />Meeting called to order at ?:ItS P.M., r-ith the following council members recorded
<br />as present: Robert E. Stenzinger, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Andrew
<br />Hustrulid, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk.
<br />Also present, William E. Olsen, Treasurer, and B. C. Hart, Acting Village
<br />Attorney. Absent, Frank N. Graham, Village Attorney.
<br />Minutes of March 9, 1955 were heard and approved as read.
<br />Weed Papers relating to weed inspections were turned over to
<br />Inspection Mayor Stenzinger for handling.
<br />Bills: On motion by Hustrulid, seconded by Cartwright, the following
<br />bills were ordered paid:

<br />Glen 1735 St Marys Street, a new resident of the Village, was
<br />Fadden introduced to membersof the council.
<br />Cartwright reported that the Parks & Playgrounds Committee
<br />Parks +~ would hold a meeting this week according to Chairman Rose
<br />Playgrounds 'rho said that special consideration will be given to a
<br />neighborhood program covering our needs. Cartwright said
<br />he hoped to have a report from the committee for our next
<br />meeting.
<br />Bldg. Building Inspector Christensen; reported on the proposed
<br />Inspector development of the Hawkins property west of Tatum.
<br />Fire Chief As to fires on February 1 and FebIInary 28 not attended by
<br />accounts for Fire Chief Swanson, the Mayor read a letter from Fire Chief
<br />note attend- Swanson, dated Yarch llt, stating this was because of an
<br />fires appointment on February 1 at the Civil Defense office with
<br />respect to installation of Bell and Lights system in our
<br />fire station; also that on February 28 he had completed
<br />a 21t-hour tour of duty at 8 A. M. and was therefore off duty
<br />at 12:35 F.M.
<br />Sewer A. W. Banister, of Banister Engineering Company, appeared
<br />proposals before the Council to discuss further the Company's proposal,
<br />dated March 1~, 1955, for consulting engineering services in
<br />connection with providing sanitary sewerage for Falcon Heights,
<br />the proposal including (A) a preliminary study and report to
<br />be part of a joint program with the Village of Roseville (B)
<br />a complete report if it appears Falcon Heights should and can
<br />connect with St Paul, and (C) future work if approved by the
<br />Council to include detailed working plans and specifications
<br />prepared by said Engineering Company at standard engineering
<br />fees against which dull credit would be given for all work
<br />Attorney's paid for under item (A). Attorney Graham's letter of March
<br />letter 17 was read, sug esting on the basis of his examination of
<br />the Banister Engineering proposal, that the council consider
