<br />Meeting called to order at 7:45 P.M., roll call recording the following council members
<br />present: George J. Shavor, Acting Mayyor; Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee; David P. Cartwright,
<br />Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Also present, Frank N. Graham, Attorney. Absent:
<br />Robert E. Stenzinger, Mayor; William E. Olsen, Treasurer.
<br />Minutes of March 23, 1955, were heard and approved as read.
<br />School Letter of March j0, 1955 ~ from Emmett+~cD. Williams, Superintendent
<br />buses of School~~ t~iariking the Council on behalf of the School Board of
<br />Independent District No. 3 for allowing school buses to operate without
<br />tandems until Village streets were posted.
<br />State Announcement regarding the Minnesota State Fire School, April 25 thru
<br />Fire 29, was read and ordered filed.

<br />State Farm Correspondence with the State Farm Mutual Insurance Company was
<br />Mutual read, including reply of April 5, 1955, from Cran~ord W. Ingham,
<br />Insurance Co. Resident Vice President, indicating the Company~s continued interest
<br />in property on Snelling avenue south of Hollywood Court. After
<br />considerable discussion, Shavor moved that in order to further making
<br />this site available to the State Farm Mutual Insurance Company that
<br />Trustees Hustrulid and Cartwright be appointed as a committee to
<br />contact the parties involved, to try and. arran ge for the necessary
<br />exchange of land to provide the desired location for the proposed
<br />office building. Seconded by Stewart and motion carried unanimously,
<br />the understanding being that the committee would consult with the
<br />Village attorney if and when necessary.
<br />Fire Dept. The Clerk reported on bids he had received for :a~kmeographing or multi-
<br />Rules & lithing the Fire Department Rules and Regulations. After discussion,
<br />Regulations, Shavor moved that ?5 copies of the Fire Department Rules and Regulations
<br />printing of be printed in multilith by N. L. Splett, in booklet form, lt~x6n, including
<br />roster, as requested by the Volunteer firemen. Seconded by Cartwright
<br />and motion carried unanimously.
<br />Fire Dept. In connection with Fire Department forms 106 and 113; Cartwrigh t moved
<br />forms that a two years supply of said forms be printed in accordance with
<br />suggestion of the Volunteer firemen. Seconded by Stewart and so ordered.
