63~ <br />REGULAR MEETING, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 28, 1955 <br />(Minutes Recorded by Frank N. Graham) <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:115 P.M., with roll call recording the <br />following council members present: George J. Shavor, Acting Mayor; Andrew <br />Hustrulid, Trustee, and David P. Cartwright, Trustee. Absent: Robert E. <br />Stenzinger, Mayor, and Clyde J. Stewart Clerk. Also present - William E. <br />Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting held Wednesday, December 7, 1955, and of the <br />Canvassing Board meeting held on the same day, were not presented and will be <br />read at the next regular meeting of the council. <br />Bills: On motion by Cartwright, seconded by Hustrulid, the following <br />bills were ordered paid: <br />Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., Mi 6-5200, X17.20 <br />Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., Mi 4-5050, $17.70 <br />McClain & Hedman, calendar pad for Clerk, 70¢ <br />Falcon Heights State Bank, impri:hting 1000 checks, $11.09 <br />General Trading Co., 1 gal rustoleum, X6.72 <br />Miller-Davis Co., 100 book sheets for Treasurer, $1.42 <br />Ramsey County Treasurer, street work, Nov., X265.31 <br />Kenneth Shellum, skating rink supervision, 12-23 thru 12-28, 9629.70 <br />D.P. Cartwright, warming house expense reimbursement, 962.35 <br />Paint spray- Building Inspector Christensen reported that he talked to the <br />ing plant, owner of the Texaco station who said that there had been some <br />Texaco station discussion about building a new stall at the station. The <br />owner appreciates that a building permit will have to be <br />applied for before any changes can be made. He also indicated <br />that there had been some talk but no definite plans that any <br />addition might be used for a paint spraying booth. <br />Report Shell William Utecht reported he had a number of complaints that the <br />station Shell station at Albert and Larpenteur had been staying open <br />changed hands- very late in the evening. It was reported that this station <br />staying open had changed hands in the last few months, and Mr. Cartwright <br />late is to check the matter. It was suggested that the Clerk check <br />the license issued to the station to determine what hours were <br />set for the operationof the station. It was pointed out that <br />if there has been a change in-ownership, the new owner will <br />have to apply for a new license since the licenses are not <br />transferable. <br />Skating Cartwright reported that the skating rink had been completed <br />rink and was in operation under the supervision of Kenneth P. Shellum, <br />951 Shryer, Roseville, as skating supervisor. During the holidays <br />the hours are from 9:00 to 5:00 each day and on Sundays the <br />hours aro from 1:00 to 5:00. It was thot that the rink would be <br />opened on school days between 3:30 to 5:30. Cartwright reported <br />that lights were in the process of being put up and that they <br />hoped to have evening skating at the rink soon. <br />Comprehensive A question was raised as to whether the comprehensive insurance <br />insurance coverage would protect the Village if there were any accidents <br />question on the rink and the Village attorney was requested to check this <br />matter with Mr. Hite. <br />ti <br />
