sss <br />REGULAR MEETING, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13, 1956 <br />Meeting called to order at 7:35 P.M., with the following council members present: <br />George J. Shavor, Acting Mayor; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Harold C. Nilsen, <br />Trustee; and Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Absent: Willim R. Utecht, Mayor. <br />Also, present: William E. Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney <br />Minutes of May 23, 1956 meeting were heard and approved as read. <br />Cigarette Applications for licenses to sell cigarettes at retail, <br />licenses together with check for $12.00 from each, covering annual <br />license fee to July 1, 1957, were received from the <br />following: <br />Farmers Union GTA <br />Flaherty Lanes <br />Applebaum Food Markets, Inc. <br />F~3con Heights pharmacy <br />Approval of said applications was voted on motion by Nilsen, <br />seconded by Cartwright. <br />1 <br />Off Sale On motion by Cartwright, seconded. by Nilsen, applications <br />received from the following firms for off sale beer licenses <br />to July 1, 1957, were approved: <br />Falcon Heights Pharmacy <br />Applebaum Food Markets, Inc. <br />Flaherty Lanes <br />On Sale Application for On Sale beer license, together with check <br />for X35.00, covering annual license fee to July 1, 1957, <br />was received from Flaherty Lanes. Approved on motion by <br />Nilsen, seconded by Cartwright. <br />Gasoline Service Application to operate a gasoline filling station at 1667 <br />Sta, license, F.U. North Snelling Avenue, together with check for ~30.~ covering <br />annual license fee to July 1, 1957, was received from the <br />Farmers Union GTA. Application approved on motion by Cartwright, <br />seconded by Nilsen. <br />Requisition #82, covering minute book paper, postage stamps and other supplies <br />Clerk's needed in the Clerk's office, was read. Approved on motion <br />by Cartwright, seconded by Nilsen. <br />Requisition #83 covering one gallon of disinfectant and 2~" adapter, was <br />Fire Dept. approved on motion by Nilsen, seconded by Cartwright. <br />Minn. Motorized Fire Chief Grumke reported on bills received from the Minnesota <br />Fire Truck C©. Motorized Fire Truck Company for repacking of Engine No. 1 <br />bill pump. One of the bills he said is not in accord with the <br />Company's quotation of May 12. He said request has been made <br />for ari itemized account. The Chief also reported on sending <br />compound gauge from one of the fire engines to the Marsh <br />Instrument Company, of Skokie, Ill. for repairs estimated to <br />cost ~5 to $b. <br />Bills: On motion by Nilsen, seconded by Stewart, the following bills <br />were ordered paid: <br />
