r <br />v' <br />upon his return to the Village. <br />Legislative The Clerk read a reports dated May 25, 1956, from Mayor Utecht <br />report - J.P's., relative to matters receiving consideration by a State <br />Constables, legislative interim committee on May 21~. The. big ma3ority <br />police protection of communities represented at the meeting favored elimin ation <br />of the offices of Constable and Justice of the Peace, the <br />Mayor said. He also said the feeling was there should be a <br />centralized radio dispatching system under the Sheriff's <br />office with each Villa ge maintaining its own police system. <br />Adjournment: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 12:10 midnite. <br />-.._..~ <br />ler <br />L <br />I <br />Approved: <br />REGULAR MEETING, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2~, 1956 <br />Meeting called to order at 7:35 P.M., all council members being present as follows: <br />William R. Utecht, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; <br />Harold C. Nilsen, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Absent: Frank.N. Graham, <br />Attorney. Also present: William E. Olsen, Treasurer, and B. C. Hart, Attorney. <br />Minutes of June 13, 1956 meeting were heard and approved as read. <br />GTA Mr. James A. Gallaher, of the Farmers Union Grain Terminal <br />Addition Associ ation, and Mr. Ray R. Gauger, St Paul architect, appeared <br />before the council and presented plans for an addition to the <br />west end of the GTA's office building. The proposed three-story <br />addition, 121 feet long by 56 feet wide, will match the present <br />building construction, Mr. Gallaher said. After discussion of <br />the plans and proposed addition, Nilsen moved that our building <br />instructor be authorized to issue the necessary building permit. <br />Seconded by Cartwright and motion carried unanimously. <br />Bills: On motion by Stewart, seconded by Shavor, the following bills <br />were ordered paid: <br />Arden Lumber Mart, door at west entrance to stairway, <br />Village Hall, including installation, ~5~t.00 <br />Nick Christensen, fees, bldg. permits #511 thru 529, ~3lt8.62 <br />W.R. Utecht, expenses, League convention, Detroit Lakes, <br />June 13, 14 & 15, 1956, X5.45 <br />R.A.Myers & Co., 1 gal disinfectant, X3.55 <br />
