<br />REGLZAR MEETING, THUP.SDAY, MARCH 28, 1957
<br />Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M., the following council members being present -
<br />William R. Utecht, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Harold C. Nilsen, Trustee;
<br />Willis Warkentien, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, C1 erk. Also present: William E. Olsen
<br />,
<br />Treasurer, and B.P. Friel, Attorney. Absent: Frank N. Graham, Attorney
<br />After discussion,
<br />" Warkentien moved that the minutes of March 19, 1957, page ?97, paragraph
<br />titled
<br />2-family dwelling, 18611 Arona," regarding the statement beginning, "The Mayor
<br />said that residenc es in our Village," be corrected to read, "The Mayor said that residences
<br />in Residence Distr ict 'A' in our Village," and th at the minutes of March 21, 1957 be
<br />corrected on page 801 by striking out the words "Part 1" in the second line of the
<br />paragraph titled beginning "Sanitary Sewer System impute," also that ~tAding of said
<br />minutes be omitted and that said minutes be approved as corrected. Seconded by Utecht
<br />and so ordered.
<br />Police car Mr. Vern Heyne,jof Roseville's Police Commission,
<br />appeared before
<br />maintenance ,
<br />the council in connection with a proposal from Midway Ford, 1850
<br />proposal .University Avenue,St Paul, for doing all maintenance repairs on
<br /> Roseville's police cars and possibly on the car ordered by Falcon
<br /> Heights. After the reading of a letter from the Midway Ford
<br /> Company to Mr. Heyne relative to this matter, Utecht moved that
<br /> the Clerk contact the Pdidway Ford in regard to this matter and
<br /> determine what procedure is necessary to arrange an agreement.
<br /> Seconded by Shavor and motion carried unanimously.
<br />Requests permit Ray Nowicki, 705 Summit Avenue, St Paul, appeared before the
<br />to move house on council and asked for permission to move a two-story house, 30x25,
<br />Pascal & Larp. with stucco and brick exterior, onto a 50-foot lot at the south-
<br />lot west corner of Larpenteur and Pascal Avenues. ?Jtr. Nowicki~~submitted
<br /> pictures of the house, stating that its present location is a t
<br /> 2347 N. Snelling Avenue, where it was built about 25 years ago.
<br /> Said he understood the taxes would be lower if the house could
<br /> face on Pascal rather than on Larpenteur Avenue. Mr. Nowicki was
<br /> informed that the permit could not be issued since the said lot
<br /> did not meet the area requirements of the ordinance.
<br />Plumbing George L. Oster, 1$111 Highway 95, White Bear Lake, inquired further
<br />Inspector regarding the need for a plubbing inspector. He was informed that
<br />matter the matter might come up for consideration some time in May.

<br />Dogs Letter was read from Douglas A. Fell, 1771 Simpson, regarding
<br /> our dog registration ordinan ce with some amusing comments on
<br /> the dog situation with respect to his }~ropex~r ~'he~,~~Cl~~rk was
<br /> asked to acknowledge Mr. Fell's letter,
<br />Civil Defense Letter of March 25, 1957, from H~ A. Schon, Director, Oivil Defense
<br />
<br />meeting ,
<br />relative to a meeting of Division I, UNICQM, at the Setchel-Carlson
<br />' Company, the evening of Wednesday, April 10, was read. Mayor Utecht
<br /> and Trustees Nilsen and Warkentien agreed to attend.
