9.0 GUTTERS AND DOWNSPOUTS <br />9.1 Building devices used to control rainwater shall be compatible with the roofing system and <br />shall not dominate the fagade of the building. Internal roof drains are encouraged. <br />9.2 The gutters and downspouts shall be shown on the architectural plans. <br />9.3 The design shall be integrated with the design of the building. <br />9.4 Gutters and downspouts shall be constructed of high quality, commercial materials. <br />9.5 Gutters shall not be allowed on flat roofs <br />9.6 Downspouts shall only be allowed at interior corners. If there are no interior corners, then <br />downspouts will be allowed on the exterior corners. Downspouts shall not run down the <br />middle of the building. <br />9.7 Parapets and cornices shall be continuous above a scupper. <br />Don't Do This: <br />Do This: <br />The design of the gutters and downspouts run down <br />the middle of the buildings. The design has not been <br />integrated with the design of the building. <br />The downspouts are on the exterior corners. The colors <br />match the building and have been integrated with the <br />overall design of the building. <br />
