Request for Site Plan and Final Plat for <br />a 9,301 square foot commercial building for Growing Generations Daycare on <br />property located north of Frenchman Road (CSAH 8) and west of Everton <br />Avenue North. <br />DATE: February 29, 2016 for the City Council Meeting of March 7, 2016 <br />ZONING: General Business (C-2) <br />60 -DAY REVIEW DEADLINE: April 9, 2016 <br />1. PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE <br />At its February 25, 2016 meeting, the Planning Commission considered the site plan request for <br />Growing Generations Daycare. One of the owners/directors of the proposed daycare center <br />spoke to the Planning Commission about their vision for the daycare and their desire to be a part <br />of the Hugo community. The Planning Commission had general questions on the wetland <br />impact and the number of parking spaces required for this use. They generally liked the <br />proposed use and the building design. The Commission recommended approval of the site plan <br />application, subject to the conditions listed in the resolution. <br />2. DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a site plan for a 9,301 square foot commercial building <br />for a daycare facility. <br />The applicant is also requesting a final plat for a subdivision known as "Frenchman Place" for <br />the creation of one lot. The name of the Final Plat will be known as "Frenchman Place 31 <br />Addition". Lot 1, Block 1 will be a 1.89 acre lot for the commercial building. The applicant is <br />not proposing to revise the preliminary plat layout or any conditions of approval. <br />
