then be immediately moved to allow normal traffic flow, and Public Works will <br />pick up the barricades following the event. <br />• The applicant will place signage along the route notifying residents that a race is <br />in progress. Prior to the event, the applicant will also notify all HOA's in the area <br />of the road closure so they may get the word out to their residents. <br />• A post -race party will be held in the busing area where there will be event <br />activities and a DJ playing until 1 p.m. <br />• Water, fruit, and muffins will be available free of charge. <br />• Limited parking will be in the front entrance parking lot at Oneka Elementary, and <br />additional parking available at Hugo Elementary where a bus will be used to <br />transport participants to and from the event. <br />• Two 10' X 20' tents will be used, and there will be an inflatable arch at the <br />beginning/end of the race. <br />• Race organizers are working on having a Hugo Fire Department vehicle at the <br />event, and they will have staff trained in first aide. <br />• Weather will be monitored by race organizers, and in the case of inclement <br />weather participants will be ushered into the school gymnasium. <br />3. REQUIREMENTS: <br />The applicant has provided the City the completed permit and permit fee. In accordance <br />with this permit, the applicant shall conduct the event as described herein and meet the <br />following conditions: <br />Prior to the Event <br />1. The applicant shall provide the City a copy of the signed Hold Harmless <br />Agreement <br />2. The applicant shall provide the City a copy of the insurance for the event naming <br />the City of Hugo as additionally insured. <br />3. The applicant will notify all HOA's in the area of the road closure so they may get <br />the word out to their residents. <br />4. The applicant shall secure Washington County Sheriff s Deputies to be stationed <br />at specified intersections during the event, as recommended by the Sheriff's <br />Department. <br />5. The applicant shall install temporary directional markers and caution signs along <br />the route. <br />6. All crossing guards will meet with the Washington County deputies working the <br />event to discuss procedures to follow along the route and at all intersections. <br />During the Event <br />7. The applicant shall conduct the event in accordance with the approved plans <br />submitted with the application. <br />
