MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON JANUARY 21, 2014 Mayor Weidt called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. PRESENT: Bronk, Klein, Petryk, Weidt ABSENT: Haas (was present via Skype; however, he was not participating as a voting member of the City Council) ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear, Assistant City Attorney Josh Brekken, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, Planner Rachel Juba, and City Clerk Michele Lindau Approval of the Agenda Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the agenda as presented: All Ayes. Motion carried Approval of the Consent Agenda Bronk made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda item: Approval of Claims All Ayes. Motion carried. Approval of Claims Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. Preliminary Plat and Planned Unit Development for LaValle Fields Lavalle Fields, LLC, 6607 145th Circle North, has applied for Preliminary Plat and Planned Unit Development (PUD) approval for a senior housing and a multi -family residential development to be constructed on 39.56 acres. This site is located to the west of Lions Park, 5524 Upper 146th Street North, and is comprised of seven parcels owned by Marvin Lavalle. The preliminary plat includes one lot and four outlots to be known a "LaValle Fields". The PUD General Plan will be for 29.17 acres of the property and will be rezoned from Future Central Business (FCB) and Central Residential (CR -3) to Planned Unit Development (PUD). The remaining 8.53 acres will continue to be zoned CR -3. The property includes wetlands and floodplain for a total buildable acreage of 16.18 acres. The senior housing facility is proposed to be 130 units and will include 41 independent living, 67 assisted living, and 22 memory care. There are three proposed apartment buildings with 45, 50, and 70 units for a total of 165 units. The total proposed number of units is 295 for an overall density of approximately 18 units per acre.
