Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for August 18, 2014 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />programs at City Hall and the Hanifl Fields Shelter and collaborating with the White Bear Lake <br />School District on reading programs and library card drives. <br />Yellow Ribbon Network Update <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Council Member Phil Klein reported on the Yellow Ribbon <br />Network activities held recently. The YRN is receiving registrations for the November 1, 2014 <br />Pheasant Hunt at Wild Wings. There will be a packing event on Saturday, August 30, 2014. <br />Mark and Susan Schowpe from Keller Williams Realty will be the sponsors of August 27, 2014 <br />Hamburger Night. Haas thanked Floyd Petty for volunteering to be their new fry cook. Haas <br />will be sponsoring a hole at the Military family golf event. Klein talked the outstanding support <br />the YRN receives from local businesses. <br />Schedule Annual Citywide Bus Tour <br />Annually, the City of Hugo holds a Citywide Bus Tour for Council, Commissions and residents <br />who would like to visit areas of interest in the City. The tour has been held on a Saturday <br />morning for the past four years, and received good attendance. City Administrator Bryan Bear <br />asked the Council to schedule the Citywide Bus Tour for Saturday, September 20 or October 25. <br />As in past years, the tour has departed from the Hanifl Shelter at 10 a.m. and returned at <br />approximately noon for a BBQ lunch. <br />Weidt made motion, Bronk seconded, to schedule the bus tour for Saturday, September 20, 2014. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Schedule Interviews for EDA Commission Vacancy <br />The City has received three applications for the vacancy on the EDA. Staff recommends Council <br />pick a date on which to hold interviews. <br />Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to schedule the EDA interviews for 6 p.m. on September 2, <br />2014. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Met Council Water Forum on Thursday, August 21, 2014 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council that the Met Council is holding a Water Forum <br />on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Maplewood Community Center, 2100 <br />White Bear Avenue, in Room C. Staff has posted this as a meeting of the Council if the Council <br />should wish to attend. <br />Movie Night in the Park on Friday, September 19, 2014 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council that the City of Hugo and the Postal Credit <br />Union will present the movie Frozen on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Hanifl Fields Athletic <br />
