He said he also
expects the DNR to step up with a financial contribution. He stated that the City has a road that
serves us well and we've done our job as a road authority. Motion carried.
Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to send letter to St. Paul Regional Authority to identify them
as stakeholder and asking if they would participate in repair of structure to ensure their
appropriations permit would remain useful or relinquish their permit if they do not want to be a
stakeholder.
All Ayes. John stated that the City has
been doing well as the LGU, but he was paying twice for the same service; the City should
determine what that amount is. He also talked about the money the City receives from the
Watershed District for maintenance of JD2 and how the cost is not being shared equitability.
Weidt made motion, Bronk seconded, to direct staff to come back with an estimate for being the
LGU and maintaining the ditches.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
Yellow Ribbon Network Report
Council Member Chuck Haas and Council Member Phil Klein reported to Council on the Yellow
Ribbon Network activities held recently.
