Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for September 15, 2014 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />Fall Cleanup on Saturday, October 4, 2014 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council that the City of Hugo and Washington County <br />will hold Fall Cleanup Day on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 8 am — noon at the Hugo Public <br />Works Building. Hugo residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to do their <br />spring cleaning by bringing in their old household items as well as hazardous household products <br />for disposal. A complete list of accepted items can be found on the City website or by contacting <br />Hugo City Hall. <br />Fire Department Open House on Saturday, October 4, 2014 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed council that the Hugo Fire Department will hold their <br />Annual Open House on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 11:00am - 3:00pm. This event will take <br />place at the Hugo Fire Hall at 5323 140th Street North and will include the Fearless Firefighters <br />Fun Run and several children and adult activities. This event is being held to celebrate Fire <br />Prevention Week, which is October 5-11. <br />Petryk made motion, Bronk seconded, to schedule a meeting for the Hugo Fire Department Open <br />House. <br />All Ayes. <br />Repairs to City Hall Basement <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council that staff has been dealing with serious water <br />intrusion issues in the basement of City Hall this summer. Building Official Chuck Preisler has <br />been working with contractors to determine the cause of the problem and develop a plan to <br />correct it. Bear said that the work will begin this week, and repairs are expected to cost <br />approximately $40,000, with a portion to be covered by insurance. <br />Adiournment <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to adjourn at 8:01 p.m. <br />All Ayes.
