Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for October 20, 2014 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />Schedule Rice Lake Meadows Neighborhood Meeting for November 10, 2014 <br />At its October 6, 2014 meeting, Council discussed the roadway CIP and directed staff to <br />schedule a meeting with the Rice Lake Meadows neighborhood to determine their interest in a <br />road project. City Administrator Bryan Bear suggested a meeting of the neighborhood residents <br />be scheduled for Monday, November 10, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. following the Board of Canvass. <br />Haas made motion, Bronk seconded, to schedule the Rice Lake Meadows neighborhood meeting <br />for Monday November 10, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Rice Creek Watershed District Citizen Advisory Committee <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed the Council that the Rice Creek Watershed District is <br />seeking applications for membership on its Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC is <br />appointed by the Board Managers to advise and assist them on all matters affecting the interests of <br />the Watershed District and make recommendations on all contemplated projects and improvements <br />in the District. Anyone interested in applying should contact Hugo City Hall or the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District. <br />Executive session on National Recycling, Inc. <br />Assistant City Attorney Josh Brekken explained that the Council will enter into the executive <br />session for the purpose of discussing strategies of claims and potential litigation related to <br />National Recycling Incorporated's activities within the City and also at the rail spur location. <br />Following the executive session, Council will return to the regular meeting. <br />Haas made motion, Klein second, to enter into executive session at 8:10 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />The City Council reconvened the regular meeting at 9:20 p.m. <br />Weidt made motion, Petryk seconded, to direct staff to work with the railroad and affected <br />parties to develop permitting rules and regulations that will protect both citizen and business <br />users of the rail spur, and have it completed within 45 days. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Haas make motion, Klein seconded, to direct the EDA to take a look at what can be done to <br />enhance and attract rail users, and take an active step to market aggressively. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
