Update on I 35W Managed Lanes Study Todd Polum, principal with SRF Consulting, provided an update on the I 35W Managed Lanes Study. The study extends from downtown Minneapolis to Forest Lake. The purpose of the study is to identify preferred managed lane concepts as well as improvement strategies at spot locations along the corridor. Discussion on Expansion of 35E MnPASS Study to CR 96 Brad Larsen, Minnesota Department of Transportation, provided discussion points on the Expansion of I 35E MnPASS Study to CR 96. This study will develop and evaluate conceptual alternatives for extending MnPASS from Little Canada Road to CR 96 through the remaining bottleneck on 1-35E north of I-694. The study is anticipated to begin during late spring/early summer 2013 and be complete by late spring/early summer 2014. Update on 35E Corridor Improvement Proiects Wayne Norris, Minnesota Department of Transportation, provided an update on the I-35 Corridor Improvement Projects. The projects will include pavement improvements, bridge improvements, implementation of new park and rides, and a MnPASS expansion along the I -35E corridor. These projects will range in dates from 2013 to 2016.
