I-35 W/E Coalition Meeting on March 7, 2013 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Update on Rush Line Corridor <br />Washington County Senior Planner Ann Pung-Terwedo provided an update on the Rush <br />Line Corridor Project. The 275 and 285 express bus routes that serve Forest Lake and <br />Columbus to downtown Saint Paul will remain. When the new Lino Lakes park and ride <br />is established these routes must maintain or increase their current ridership rates in order <br />to remain. <br />Discussion on Transit Service and Transit Taxing Policy in NE Metro <br />City and County representatives had a discussion on transit service and the transit taxing <br />policy in the Northeast metro. <br />Susan Young stated that she would like to see more participation in the transit taxing <br />district from neighboring cities. More assistance will help fund transit services in the <br />area. <br />Updates from Cities and Counties <br />City and County representatives shared updates on their transportation planning and <br />construction efforts. <br />Discussion on Future Meeting Topics/Agendas <br />City and County representatives discussed future meeting topics and agendas. They <br />discussed the desire to talk about water supply/conservation at a future meeting. They <br />considered changing the name of the I -35E Coalition to address issues other than <br />transportation. <br />Set Next Meeting Date <br />Members agreed that there should be future meetings.
