Mark pledged to <br />donate 5% of his net proceeds to the YRN. Mark presented a check for $1,230, and the Council <br />thanked him for the donation. <br />Update on Hugo Good Neighbor Days — Chairman Paul Neutkens <br />The Hugo Lions Club held their annual Good Neighbor Days festival on June 6-9, 2013. Lions <br />Chairman Paul Neutkens provided Council a recap of this year's event. Paul stated there were <br />additional expenses with moving the band location. They netted approximately $30,000 with <br />Saturday night being a record night. In the future, they hope to make the event more kid -friendly. <br />The Lions were unsure at this time if they are holding the fall festival again this year, but are <br />considering it and may coordinate it with the Tour `de Hugo bike ride in September. <br />Approval of the Consent Agenda <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda items: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Approve PUD Amendment for Diamond Point East— E&G Development <br />Approve Animal Control Contract with Companion Animal Control <br />Approve Termination of Animal Boarding Services with Hillcrest Animal Hospital and <br />Approve Agreement with Otter Lake <br />Approve Pay Request No. 1 to Dunaway Construction for 145th Street Sidewalk <br />Reconstruction Project <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Claims <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br />Approve PUD Amendment for Diamond Point East— E&G Development <br />E & G Development is requesting approval of a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Amendment <br />for Diamond Point East to allow decks to encroach 10 feet into the required rear yard setback on <br />Lots 1-17, Block 2 and Lots 1-11, Block 4. The lots are on 145th Alcove and 145th Bay. At its <br />June 13, 2013 meeting, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider the PUD <br />Amendment request. There were two people that spoke during the public hearing. The Planning <br />Commission agreed that the request meet the standards necessary for approval and unanimously <br />recommended approval. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2013-22 <br />APPROVING A PUD AMENDMENT FOR CERTAIN LOTS IN DIAMOND POINT EAST <br />TO ALLOW DECKS TO ENCROACH 10 FEET INTO THE REQUIRED SETBACK. <br />
