Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for July 1, 2013 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />Yellow Ribbon Network Update <br />Council Members Chuck Haas and Phil Klein reported to Council on the City of Hugo's Yellow <br />Ribbon Network activities. Minnesota Military Family Foundation held a golf event. Mark <br />Schwope, Keller Williams Realty, donated 5% of his home sales to the YRN. Minnesota Street <br />Rod Association collected and donated money to the YRN at the Back to the 50's Event. White <br />Bear Lake Women of Today donated $100. A packing event is scheduled for August 3, 2013. <br />The YRN will be sponsoring a family for the Gold Star Weekend. <br />Dust Control Application on City Roads <br />This was added to the agenda to discuss the dust control on the roads that are experiencing <br />increased traffic due to the construction of the TH61/CSAH4 intersection improvements. Due to <br />the recent rains, no dust lock has been applied on the gravel roads because it is dependent on dry <br />conditions. It is scheduled to be applied on July 16, 2013. If it is postponed again, the Public <br />Works Department will still apply it to the roads affected by the detour. <br />Community Forum on Water Resources on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 <br />A forum will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Century College. This is the <br />third and final forum in a series on water resources in the northeast metro area and will focus on <br />water conservation. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a meeting for July 16, 2013 to attend the Water <br />Resources Forum. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Community Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Lions Park <br />National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, 2013. This event is an opportunity for <br />neighbors to strengthen neighborhood spirit by gathering with police, fire department, City <br />Council, and staff. As part of National Night Out, the Hugo Business Association (HBA) will be <br />holding Community Night Out from 5-8 p.m. at Lions Park. The HBA has invited the Council to <br />attend and is requesting Council's participation at the event. <br />Petryk made motion, Bronk seconded, to schedule a meeting for August 6, 2013 to attend the <br />National Night Out events. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Schedule Midyear Budget Review <br />Annually, the City Council schedules a mid -year budget review in order to allow the Council to <br />accept information from the Finance Department regarding the City's year-to-date finances as <br />well as to review some target objectives for the next year's budget. <br />
