Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for August 5, 2013 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />Approve Rescheduling of September 2, 2013 Council Meeting to Tuesday, September 3, <br />2013 Due to Labor Day Holiday <br />Each year, the Hugo City Council has to reschedule its first meeting in September to the <br />following Tuesday due to the Labor Day Federal Holiday. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the rescheduling of the September 2, 2013 City Council meeting to Tuesday, <br />September 3, 2013. <br />Approve Special Event Permit for Wilson Tool for Company Picnic on August 10, 2013 <br />Wilson Tool has applied for a Special Event Permit for their annual Wilson Tool Company <br />Picnic on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m. at the Hugo Lions Park. This <br />is a private event for current and retired employees of Wilson Tool and their families. Food and <br />alcohol will be served free of charge to the attendees. Setup for the event will be on Friday, <br />August 9th, and there will be security overnight at the park. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the Special Event Permit for the Wilson Tool Company Picnic on August 10, 2013 at <br />the Hugo Lions Park. <br />Approve Temporary Liquor License for the Hugo Lions Club to Serve Liquor at the <br />Wilson Tool Company Picnic on Saturday, August 10,2013 <br />The Hugo Lions Club has applied for a Temporary Liquor License to serve beer and wine <br />coolers to the attendees of the Wilson Tool Company Picnic on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at <br />Hugo Lions Park. The Lions Club has paid the application fee and provided the necessary <br />insurance for the event. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Temporary Liquor <br />License for the Hugo Lions Club for the Wilson Tool Company Picnic on Saturday, August 10, <br />2013. <br />Approve Eric Maass as New Community Development Intern <br />At its May 20, 2013 meeting, Council authorized the advertisement for a Community <br />Development Intern to replace Liz Hanson. Staff received fifteen applications, conducted <br />interviews on ten of the applicants, and found Eric Maass to be the best fit for the position. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Eric Maass as the new Community Development <br />Intern. <br />Approve Interim Use Permit for Ramberg for Farmhand Living Quarters <br />At its July 25, 2013 meeting, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider the <br />request of Dan, Elaine, and Bill Ramberg for an Interim Use Permit (IUP) to allow a second <br />dwelling on their property at 5657 170th Street North for a living quarters for a farmhand. Staff <br />provided background to the Planning Commission and an analysis of the approval criteria for the <br />NP. No one besides the applicant spoke during the public hearing. The applicant provided <br />general background for the need of a farmhand on site. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved RESOLUTION 2013-25 APPROVING AN INTERIM USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A <br />SECOND DWELLING ON THE PROPERTY FOR LIVING QUARTERS FOR A <br />FARMHAND ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5657 170TH STREET NORTH. <br />
