Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for August 19, 2013 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />Schedule City Hall Staff Appreciation Picnic Sunday, September 15, 2013 <br />At the City Administrator's performance review on May 21, 2013, the Council directed City <br />Administrator Bryan Bear to schedule a staff appreciation picnic. Staff recommends Council <br />schedule the staff appreciation picnic for Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hanifl <br />Shelter to be attended by the families of Council and City staff, Fire Department, Commissions, and <br />interested public. <br />Weidt made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a City Picnic for September 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. at <br />the Hanifl Shelter. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Washington County Household Hazardous Waste Collection on Saturday, October 5, 2013 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council that the Washington County Public Health <br />Department and the City of Hugo will be holding a fall event to collect household hazardous <br />waste. This event will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Hugo Public Works <br />Department. <br />Schedule Annual Citywide Bus Tour for Saturday, October 5, 2013 <br />Annually, the City of Hugo holds a Citywide Bus Tour for Council, Commissions and residents <br />who would like to visit areas of interest in the City. Staff recommended council schedule the <br />Citywide Bus Tour for Saturday, October 5, 2013, departing from the Hanifl Shelter at 10 a.m. <br />and returning to the shelter at approximately noon for a BBQ lunch. <br />Bronk made motion, Klein seconded, to schedule the Citywide Bus Tour for Saturday, October <br />5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Hanifl Shelter. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Dream of Wild Health Invitation <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear added this to the agenda to inform the Council they have been <br />invited to the Dream of Wild Health Family Feast & Celebration of the 2013 Garden Warriors on <br />Saturday, August 24, 2013 from noon — 3 p.m. at 16085 Jeffrey Avenue North. The Garden <br />Warriors Apprenticeship program provides a safe place for Native teens to learn about their <br />culture, traditional farming, and health, while developing leadership and job skills. This is an <br />opportunity to meet the group in a celebration of native foods. <br />Weidt made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule the Dream of Wild Health as a Council <br />meeting on Saturday, August 24, 2013 from noon to 3 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
