Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for September 16, 2013 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />National Manufacturing Day is Friday, October 4, 2013, and manufacturers across the nation will <br />be participating in Manufacturing Day by hosting open houses to include public tours, career <br />workshops and other events. City Administrator Bryan Bear informed the Council that Wilson <br />Tool has invited them to attend their open house on that day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for tours, <br />product demonstrations and lunch. <br />Weidt made motion, Haas seconded, to schedule a meeting for Friday, October 4, 2013 for the <br />Wilson Tool Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Citywide Bus Tour on Saturday, October 5, 2013 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council a meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, <br />October 5, 2013 for the 81h annual Citywide Bus Tour for Council, Commissions and residents. <br />Participants are to meet at the Hanifl Shelter for a 10 a.m. departure and will return to the shelter <br />at approximately noon for a BBQ lunch. <br />Washington County Household Hazardous Waste Collection on Saturday, October 5, 2013 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council of that the Washington County Public Health <br />Department and the City of Hugo will be holding a fall event to collect household hazardous <br />waste. This event will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Hugo Public Works <br />Department from 8 a.m. to noon. Electronic and hazardous waste will be accepted. <br />Fire Department Annual Open House on Saturday, October 5, 2013 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council of the Hugo Fire Department Annual Open <br />House and Fearless Firefighter Fun Run to be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 from l Ia.m. to 3 <br />p.m.to kick-off Fire Prevention Week, which is October 6-12. <br />Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to schedule a meeting for the Fire Department Open House <br />on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Update on National Recycling Inc. <br />Staff has been monitoring the progress concerning scrap removal at NRI. City Administrator <br />Bryan Bear and Mayor Weidt stated they recently met with NRI and inspected the site.
