MINUTES <br />I-35 W/E COALITION MEETING <br />CITY COUNCILS OF HUGO, LINO LAKES, CENTERVILLE, <br />FOREST LAKE, AND COLUMBUS <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY AND ANOKA COUNTY <br />THURSDAY, JANUARY 19, 2012 - 7:00 PM <br />HUGO CITY HALL <br />Mayor Miron called the meeting to order and the attendees introduced themselves. <br />Hugo Council Present: Petryk, Klein, Weidt, Miron <br />Absent: Haas <br />Also Present: Hugo - City Administrator Bryan Bear, Community Development <br />Assistant Dennis Fields, and City Engineer Jay Kennedy. <br />Washington County — Senior Planner Ann Pung-Terwedo, and <br />Commissioner Dennis Hegberg <br />Anoka County — Kate Garwood, Rhonda Sivarajah <br />MNDOT — Brad Larsen <br />MN Congress Rep. — Congressman Bachmann's Office, Rachel Horn <br />Centerville — Councilmember Ben Fehrenbacher <br />Forest Lake — Administrator Aaron Parrish <br />Lino Lakes — Administrator Mike Grochala, Jeff Karlson <br />Columbus — Mayor Dave Povolay <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Phil Klein motioned, Weidt seconded, to approve the meeting minutes of July 21, 2011 as <br />presented. <br />All Aye, Motion Carried. <br />I -35E MN Pass <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation representative, Brad Larsen, presented "The <br />Renewal of I -35E into a 21St Century Highway." Larsen shared proposed plans for the <br />corridor and introduced a possible MN Pass lane that would be added to 1-35E to make a <br />faster, safer, and more reliable travel option. He stated that MN Pass is an efficient and <br />cost effective way to make sustainable improvements to the corridor. He explained the <br />dynamic pricing which can be automatically adjusted in high traffic conditions. <br />Larsen stated that the MN Pass lane would only be one project out of 261 million dollars <br />worth of improvements along I -35E north of St. Paul. A bill is currently being drafted. <br />Hugo Mayor Miron asked the Coalition if they would support the legislation when <br />drafted. <br />
