Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for February 6, 2012 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />Approval of Claims <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br />Approve Lawful Gambling Permit for Pheasants Forever Banquet on March 5, 2012 at <br />Sal's Restaurant <br />Pheasants Forever is requesting a Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit to allow the sale of raffle <br />tickets at its banquet on Saturday, March 5, 2012 at Sal's Angus Grill. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved the Lawful Gambling permit for this event. <br />Approve Application for MN DNR Community Forest Bonding Grant <br />The MN Department of Natural Resources is accepting applications for the Community Forest <br />Bonding Grant for improvements to public land. The Parks Commission planned to replace trees <br />in Arbre Park in spring 2012 that had to be removed. On behalf of the Parks Commission, City <br />staff recommended approval of the application for the MN DNR Community Forest Bonding <br />Grant in the amount of $5,000 to plant trees in Arbor Park. Eagle Scout candidate Michael <br />Marier is also assisting with the project and will be soliciting donations and assisting with <br />planting and site cleanup. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the application for the MN <br />DNR Community Forest Bonding Grant. <br />Approve Pay Request No 6 to Northdale Construction for South Ethan Avenue <br />The City of Hugo has received Pay Request No. 6 from Northdale Construction for work <br />completed to date on the construction of the South Ethan Avenue neighborhood street <br />improvement project. Senior Engineering Technician Steve Duff and City Engineer Jay Kennedy <br />have reviewed the Pay Request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to date on the <br />project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Pay Request No. 4 to Northdale <br />Construction in the amount of $20,693.91 for work completed to date on the South Ethan Street <br />Improvement Project. <br />Approve Annual Spring City Wide Cleanup for April 21, 2012 <br />Each spring, the City of Hugo and Washington County host an Annual Cleanup Day to allow <br />Hugo residents the opportunity to dispose of their old household items as well as hazardous <br />household products. Saturday, April 21, 2012 has been selected as the day on which to hold this <br />event. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 8 a.m.-noon as <br />the Annual Spring Citywide Cleanup Day to take place at the Hugo Public Works Building. <br />Approve Letter of Retirement from Fire Chief Jim Compton <br />After 35 years with the Hugo Fire Department, Fire Chief Jim Compton has submitted his letter <br />of retirement effective June 1, 2012. Adoption of the consent Agenda approved the letter of <br />retirement. <br />
