MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON APRIL 16, 2012 <br />Mayor Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron <br />ABSENT: None <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, City Engineer Jay <br />Kennedy, Public Works Director Scott Anderson, and City Clerk Michele Lindau <br />Approval of the Minutes for the City Council Meeting on April 2, 2012 <br />Weidt made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held on <br />April 2, 2012 as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of the Agenda <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the agenda as amended: <br />Add to Administrative Presentations: Severe Weather Week Update <br />National Recycling Inc. Open House Invite <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Donation to the Hugo Fire Department — Bayport American Legion <br />The Bayport American Legion conducts lawful gambling at Sal's Angus Grill by selling pull tabs <br />and holding meat raffles and Bingo. The Bayport Legion donated $3,000 to the Hugo Fire <br />Department towards the purchase of communications equipment for the heavy rescue vehicle. <br />Owner of Sal's Angus Grill Jeff Fusco presented this donation to the Council and explained <br />opportunities for non-profit organizations to raise money by conducting the meat raffles at Sal's <br />Angus Grill with the assistance of the Bayport Legion. On behalf of the Hugo Fire Department, the <br />Council accepted the $3,000 from the Bayport Legion and thanked Sal's Angus Grill and the <br />Bayport Legion for the donation. <br />Approval of the Consent Agenda <br />Weidt made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda items: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Parks Planner Shayla Syverson <br />Approve Renewal of 2 a.m. Liquor License for Sal's Angus Grill <br />Approve Special Event Permit for Sarah's Daisy Dash on June 2, 2012 <br />Approve Replacement of Overhead Lines — Xcel Energy <br />
