MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON APRIL 16, 2012 Mayor Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron ABSENT: None ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, Public Works Director Scott Anderson, and City Clerk Michele Lindau Approval of the Minutes for the City Council Meeting on April 2, 2012 Weidt made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held on April 2, 2012 as presented. All Ayes. Motion carried. Approval of the Agenda Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the agenda as amended: Add to Administrative Presentations: Severe Weather Week Update National Recycling Inc. Open House Invite All Ayes. Motion carried. Donation to the Hugo Fire Department — Bayport American Legion The Bayport American Legion conducts lawful gambling at Sal's Angus Grill by selling pull tabs and holding meat raffles and Bingo. The Bayport Legion donated $3,000 to the Hugo Fire Department towards the purchase of communications equipment for the heavy rescue vehicle. Owner of Sal's Angus Grill Jeff Fusco presented this donation to the Council and explained opportunities for non-profit organizations to raise money by conducting the meat raffles at Sal's Angus Grill with the assistance of the Bayport Legion. On behalf of the Hugo Fire Department, the Council accepted the $3,000 from the Bayport Legion and thanked Sal's Angus Grill and the Bayport Legion for the donation. Approval of the Consent Agenda Weidt made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda items: Approval of Claims Approve Annual Performance Review for Parks Planner Shayla Syverson Approve Renewal of 2 a.m. Liquor License for Sal's Angus Grill Approve Special Event Permit for Sarah's Daisy Dash on June 2, 2012 Approve Replacement of Overhead Lines — Xcel Energy
