Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 7, 2012 <br />Page 8 of 8 <br />Weidt made motion, Haas seconded, to schedule May 17, 2012 as a meeting of the Council to <br />allow their attendance at the Centerville Stormwater Irrigation System Demonstration at 3 p.m. <br />at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Fire Chief Jim Compton Retirement Party, June 3, 2012 <br />Hugo Fire Chief Jim Compton is retiring from the Hugo Fire Department after 35 years of <br />dedicated service. The Department will be holding a retirement party on Sunday, June 3, 2012 <br />from 1-4 p.m. at the Hugo Fire Hall. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to schedule June 3, 2012 as a Council meeting to allow <br />their attendance at the Retirement Party for the Fire Chief to be held at the Hugo Fire Hall from <br />1-4 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Update on Yellow Ribbon Network (YRN) <br />Council Members Haas and Klein provided a recap of the activities of the YRN. The YRN received <br />a Commanders Coin" as a small token of appreciation from General John Allen for the service and <br />support provided to the Scott Family. WSB Engineering and Turner & Johnson will be partnering to <br />sponsor the next Hamburger Night on May 30, 2012. The YRN will be working a shift at the food <br />stand during Good Neighbor Days in June. Sal's Angus Grill and the Bayport American Legion had <br />approached YRN regarding their interest in conducting the meat raffles at Sal's in order to raise <br />funds.
