Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 7, 2012 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />Schedule City Administrator Performance Review <br />At its November 7, 2011 meeting, the Council appointed Community Development Director <br />Bryan Bear as the new City Administrator. The Employment Agreement requires a performance <br />review as near as June 1, 2012 as practical, and annually thereafter. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to schedule the Performance Review for City Administrator <br />Bryan Bear for June 18, 2012, immediately following the regular City Council meeting. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Update on Springy Cleanup Event held April 21, 2012 <br />The City of Hugo held its annual Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Hugo Public <br />Works Department from 8 a.m. to noon. City Administrator Bryan Bear provided a recap of the <br />event that attracted 717 customers with household hazardous waste, electronics, household <br />appliances and other miscellaneous trash items. He reminded everyone that only household <br />hazardous waste will be collected at the fall event on September 29, 2012. City cleanup will <br />continue to be only during the spring event. Council member Haas suggested that staff take a closer <br />look at the dates the events are held because they have fallen on hunting/fishing openers in the past. <br />Update on Kidz -n -Biz Event held on April 21, 2012 <br />The annual Kidz -n -Biz Fest was held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Oneka Elementary <br />School from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. City Administrator Bryan Bear provided a recap of the <br />event. There were 42 businesses that participated and approximately 800 people attended. WSB <br />Engineering sponsored the Family Fun Stage, and Johnson & Turner Law Firm sponsored the <br />game prizes. There were demonstrations by the Washington County Reserve Officers and the <br />Hugo Fire Department. The Hugo Jr. Idol Competition was also held again this year with more <br />competitors than previous years. Donations were also received by the Hugo Good Neighbhors <br />Food Shelf. <br />MnDOT Open House on TH61 on May 21, 2012 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded the Council and public of an Open House to be held in <br />the Oneka Room at Hugo City Hall on May 21, 2012 at 4:30-7pm where MnDot representatives <br />will be present to answer question on the Highway 61 road project that will be taking place July - <br />October 2012 between TH96 in White Bear Lake and TH97 in Forest Lake. This open house is <br />being held prior to the regular scheduled Council meeting for May 21 st and has been scheduled <br />for the Council's attendance. <br />Centerville Stormwater Irrigation System Demonstration on May 17, 2012 <br />The City has received an invitation from the City of Centerville to attend the Centerville <br />Stormwater Irrigation Demonstration on May 17, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Laurie LaMotte Memorial <br />Park. <br />
