Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for June 4, 2012
Page 6 of 6
Training for the Board of Appeals and Equalization
The Hugo City Council acts as the Local Board of Appeals and Equalization (LABAE) for the
purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of real estate in Hugo. At least one voting
member of all LBAEs must have attended an equalization training course within the last four
years. The Department of Revenue teaches the course and, with the help of host counties,
schedules regular training sessions throughout the state each year. Staff has provided Council
with a list of training expiration dates and upcoming training opportunities. Mayor Miron and
Council Member Petryk indicated they would like to attend the September 19, 2012 training in
Washington County. City Clerk Michele Lindau will complete the registration.
Hugo Good Neighbor Days June 7-10
Staff provided a reminder to Council that Hugo Good Neighbor Days will take place June 7-10 in
Lions Park. The parade will be on Saturday, June 9th at 11:00 a.m. Parade route and information on
Good Neighbor Days' events can be found on the City's website.
Adjournment
Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to adjourn at 9:29 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Michele Lindau
City Clerk
