Discussion on Sidewalk along 1451h Street North A potential street reconstruction project within the Lions Park neighborhood was considered by the City Council just over a year ago. While the street reconstruction project did not move forward, the issue of the deteriorated sidewalks along 145th Street was raised as an issue to resolve. City staff has reviewed the situation, and developed options for consideration by the Council. City Engineer Jay Kennedy provided an overview of this issue for the City Council, and he described three options for consideration. The City could remove and replace the sidewalk for approximately $85,000, remove the sidewalk entirely, or leave as is. Weidt made motion, Petryk seconded, to direct staff to schedule a neighborhood meeting to discuss options for the sidewalk along 145th Street. All Ayes. Motion carried. Yellow Ribbon Network Update Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein reported to Council on the City of Hugo's Yellow Ribbon Network activities. On Saturday, June 30, 2012, the Yellow Ribbon Network will be assembling packages for distribution to troops overseas. Recently a crew from WSB Engineering donated their time to do yard work for a family in Golden Valley. Schedule Business Networking Breakfast for June 19, 2012 The Hugo Business Association and Hugo Economic Development Authority will host a Business Networking Breakfast on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The speaker for the event will be Tawnya Chandler from Century College who will be presenting on a variety of Human Resource topics. Haas made motion, Weidt seconded, to schedule a meeting of the Council for the June 19, 2012 Networking Breakfast. All Ayes. Motion carried.
