All Ayes. Motion carried. Yellow Ribbon Network Update Council Member Chuck Haas and Council Member Phil Klein reported to Council on the Yellow Ribbon Network activities held recently. There will be a "Welcome Home" event for six military families at this week's Hamburger Night at the Hugo Legion on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Council Member Haas congratulated the son of the City's Audio Visual Technician Terri Hodges, who is a Marine and was married over the past weekend. The YRN continues to receive "Thank yous" for care packages sent to military members overseas. The YRN of Stillwater and Hugo will be partnering on the "Welcome Home Pheasant Hunt". Wildwings Game Farm will be sponsoring this event. The City of Hugo has been invited to apply for the Sea of Goodwill Award and will be working on the application next week. Midyear Budget and Street CIP Meeting on Thursday, August 23, 2012 City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded the Council of the Midyear Budget and Street CIP workshop to be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Hugo City Hall at 7 p.m. Movie Night in the Park on Friday, September 14, 2012 The Hugo Parks Department will be holding a Movie Night at the Hanifl Fields Athletic Park on Friday, September 14, 2012. The movie will be "How to Eat Fried Worms" and will begin at sunset (approximately 7:30 pm). Games will begin at 7:00 pm. This family event is free for all. Tour de Hugo Bike Ride on Saturday, September 15, 2012 The first Tour de Hugo Bike Ride event was held September, 2011 and was a huge success with over 60 riders participating. This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Hanifl Fields Athletic Park. Several local businesses are supporting the community bike ride which features 5, 18, and 23 mile routes suitable for all ages and abilities. Lunch, activities and entertainment is included in the cost of registration. Registration will be available at City Hall and online. Shared Services Meeting on Thursday September 27, 2012 City Administrator Bryan Bear has been meeting with a group of Administrators from Hugo, Lino Lakes, Centerville, Circle Pines, Columbus and Lexington for the purposes of discussing shared services. The meetings are being held at the direction of the City Councils for each of the other cities, and Hugo has recently been invited to attend. Once every six months, the group meets with the mayor and one council member from each of the represented cities. Staff recommended that Mayor Miron and one council member be selected to attend the meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 5:30 pm at Lino Lakes City Hall.
