Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for January 18, 2011 Page 3 of 6 Approve Special Event Permit for Hugo Lions Club for Second Annual Radar Run on Egg Lake on February 5, 2011 The City of Hugo has received an application from the Hugo Lions Club for its second annual snowmobile radar run, which is scheduled for February 5, 2011 on Egg Lake. As part of the event, the Lions Club also applied for a temporary 3.2 liquor license to permit the sale of 3.2 beer. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Special Event Permit and 3.2 temporary beer license for the Radar Run scheduled for February 5, 2011 on Egg Lake. Approve Award of Quote to Olson's Sewer Service for Minor Ditch Maintenance on Judicial Ditch 2 At its December 20, 2010 meeting, Council approved the solicitation of quotes for the minor maintenance of Judicial Ditch 2 for the year. A quote was submitted from Olson's Sewer Service Inc. in the amount of $42,303.95 to perform the necessary work. Olson's Sewer Service provided minor ditch maintenance in 2010 and 2009. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the award if quote to Olson's Sewer Service for Minor Ditch Maintenance on Judicial Ditch 2 in the amount of $42,303.95. Approve Roland Guareschi as Regular Firefighter on the Hugo Fire Department Fire Chief Jim Compton has received notice that Roland Guareschi has completed his training requirements during his probationary period and recommends he be promoted from probationary status and be given the rank of Firefighter with the Hugo Fire Department. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the status of Firefighter for Roland Guareschi on the Hugo Fire Department. Approve Trudy Richter as Facilitator for the Eastern Hugo Natural Resources Model Stakeholder Meetings The City's engineering staff is recommending Trudy Richter as the neutral facilitator for the stakeholder meetings concerning eastern Hugo. Ms. Richter's services for this purpose will not exceed $4,600. Funding for this project is provided by the MN DNR and the Watershed Districts in the City. $4,600 will be subtracted from WSB's scope of services originally approved for this project as they will not directly provide a facilitator. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Trudy Richter to serve as facilitator at a cost not to exceed $4,600. Approve Pay Request No. 6 from Gen Con Construction for Construction of Park Shelter at Hanifl Fields City staff received Pay Request No. 6 from Gen Con Construction for work completed to date on the construction of the Hanifl Fields Athletic Park shelter. Public Works Director Scott Anderson has reviewed the pay request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to date on the project. Staff recommends Council approve Pay Request No. 6 from Gen Con Construction for work completed to date on the construction the Hanifl Fields Athletic Park shelter in the amount of $56,686.61. This amount reflects the total requested in Pay Request No. 6 less the deducts from Change Order 5 and Change Order 6. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Pay Request No. 6 from Gen Con Construction for construction of the Park Shelter at Hanifl Fields in the amount of $56,681.61.
