MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON MARCH 7, 2011 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mike Ericson, Community Development Director Bryan <br />Bear, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, City Attorney Dave Snyder, Community Development <br />Assistant Dennis Fields, Finance Director Ron Otkin, Accounting Clerk Anna Wobse, and City <br />Clerk Michele Lindau <br />Moment of Silence for Retired Washington County Commissioner Dick Stafford and <br />Brooklyn Park Mayor Steve Lampi <br />Mayor Fran Miron requested a moment of silence in remembrance of longtime Washington <br />County Commissioner Dick Stafford and Brooklyn Park Mayor Steve Lampi. Dick passed away <br />on Thursday, February 24, 2011. He served Washington County for many years, both as County <br />Commissioner and as the County Auditor. Brooklyn Park Mayor Steve Lampi passed away from <br />cancer early last week. Mayor Fran Miron said his sympathy goes out to the families of these <br />two dedicated public servants. <br />The Mayor also said his thoughts go out to the family of Washington County Judge Albertson as <br />well. Judge Albertson passed away on January 31, 2011 at the age of 83. <br />Approval of the Minutes for the City Council Meeting on February 22, 2011 <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held <br />on February 22, 2011 as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of the Minutes for the South Ethan Avenue Neighborhood meeting on February <br />24, 2011 <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the South Ethan Avenue <br />Neighborhood meeting held on February 24, 2011 as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of the Agenda <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the Agenda as amended: <br />Add to Administrative Presentations: Cancel Council Meeting for March 21, 2011 <br />Update on the Hugo American Legion <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
