Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 2, 2011 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />Lemonade Day on June 5, 2011 <br />This was added to the agenda to provide the Council and public on Lemonade Day in the City of <br />Hugo. Rachel Berger, 14318 Cossette Way, informed Council that National Lemonade Day was <br />started in 2007 and was co-founded to enrich children to start their own business. This year's <br />Lemonade Day would be on June 5th, and 35 children have already registered to start their own <br />lemonade business. Rachel requested staff put up signs at City Hall to promote the event, allow <br />kids to come to City Hall to sign up, and schedule a workshop at City Hall for parents with <br />children who are signed up. <br />Petryk made motion, Weidt seconded, to approve the City to help facilitate and promote the <br />Lemonade Day Event. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Yellow Ribbon Network Update <br />Council Member Haas added this to the agenda to provide an update on the events of the Yellow <br />Ribbon Network. Haas had distributed thank your cards to be given out to veterans, and he was <br />happy to report there were 92 people who attended the last Burger Night at the Hugo American <br />Legion. Burger Night is on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 5-7 p.m. The YMCA <br />will be providing free day passes to military family, and a pool party and BBQ is being <br />scheduled at the facility. Cub Foods is also providing tickets to the Minnesota Saints game on <br />May 12, 2011 for military families. <br />Update on Charitable Gambling <br />Council Member Haas added this to the agenda to request an update from staff on charitable <br />gambling organizations. City Clerk Michele Lindau stated she was gathering the Lawful <br />Expenditure Reports and the receipt and expense reports from the four gambling organization in <br />Hugo and will be providing the information to the Council. <br />City Administrator Performance Review on May 16 or May 26, 2011 <br />At its April 18, 2011 meeting, the Hugo City Council directed City staff to schedule the City <br />Administrator's performance review for Monday, May 16, 2011 immediately following the <br />regularly scheduled Hugo City Council meeting or Thursday, May 26, 2011. Staff informed <br />Council there would be time to conduct the performance review after the regular Council <br />meeting on May 16, 2011. <br />Update on April 21, 2011 Lake Air/Bald Eagle Estates Neighborhood Meeting <br />Staff will add to the May 16, 2011 agenda an update on the neighborhood meeting held on April 21, <br />2011 with the residents from the Lake Air Estates and Bald Eagle Estates neighborhood on a <br />potential improvement project. <br />
