Haas felt the City should use a local business if they <br />could provide service at equal or less cost, and suggested the City send Request for Proposals <br />(RFP) to all local agencies. He requested staff provide details to Gallivan Insurance on what the <br />commissions are so they can determine if they would be able to work within them. <br />Joint City Council and Planning Commission Land Use Workshop on Thursday, June 9, <br />2011 <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson provided a friendly reminder that the City Council Planning <br />Commission will be holding a Land Use Workshop on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the <br />Hugo Council Chambers. LMCIT Representative Ned Sharder will present Planning <br />Commissioners and City Council Members information on land use issues which are relevant to <br />the City of Hugo and its insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust. The <br />public is invited to attend. <br />Sarah's Daisy Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, June 4, 2011 <br />Council Member Weidt reported that the second annual Sarah's Daisy Dash and 5K Fun Run/Walk <br />held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Lions Park was a success with 250 registrants. Former Public <br />Works Director and Hugo resident Chris Petree finished second in the race, and City Engineer Jay <br />Kennedy and his son Jake both finished in the top ten. All proceeds from the race went to the Allina <br />Hospice Foundation. <br />Business Breakfast Meetin1l on June 28, 2011 <br />Council Member Haas added this to the agenda. The Hugo Business Association along with the <br />Hugo Economic Development Authority have scheduled a Business Breakfast to be held at Hugo <br />City Hall on June 28, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. <br />Haas made motion, Weidt seconded, to schedule the Business Breakfast as a meeting of the City <br />Council to allow the Council's attendance at the event. <br />All Ayes.
