Hugo City Council Minutes for January 4, 2010 <br />Page 8 of 8 <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to reappoint Councilmember Phil Klein to the EDA for the <br />year 2010. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approve Rescheduling of Second Meeting in January to Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in <br />Observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday <br />Each year, the Hugo City Council reschedules the seconded meeting of the month which falls on <br />the third Monday in January, which is the Dr. Martin Luther King federal holiday. The Hugo <br />City Council has always rescheduled the meeting to the next available day which is Tuesday. <br />The Council discussed the necessity of having a second meeting in January. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to cancel the second meeting in January, unless staff <br />determines an issue urgency, until the meeting of February 1, 2009. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Yellow Ribbon Summit on January 5, 2010 <br />Councilmember Chuck Haas added this item to the agenda. The Hugo City Council has been <br />invited to attend the Yellow Ribbon Network Summit to be held at Century College on January <br />5, 2010. At approximately 1:45 p.m., Governor Tim Pawlenty will recognize those cities that <br />have become Yellow Ribbon cities. Mayor Fran Miron, Councilmember Phil Klein, and <br />Councilmember Chuck Haas will be receiving this award on behalf of the Hugo Yellow Ribbon <br />Network. <br />Adjournment <br />Haas made motion, Weidt seconded, to adjourn at 8:12 p.m. <br />All Ayes.
