Hugo City Council Meeting of July 19, 2010 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />Approval of Claims <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Jeff Maas <br />Jeff Maas was hired by the City of Hugo on July 24, 2006 as a Public Works Worker. Over the <br />past four years, Jeff has demonstrated knowledge and an excellent work ethic with the Public <br />Works Department. He continues to be a valuable asset and makes a significant contribution to <br />the Department. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review for <br />Public Works Worker Jeff Maas. <br />Approve CUP for Accessory Building at 15118 Irish Avenue North - Vince Lutz <br />The applicants requested approval of a conditional use permit to allow 125% of the permitted size <br />of an accessory building. The property is approximately 19 acres in size. Currently there are three <br />accessory building on site with a total of 2,680 square feet. According to the accessory building <br />ordinance, if the property owner does not have an attached garage they are allowed an extra <br />building on the property and an extra 500 square feet. In this case, the applicant is allowed 5,500 <br />square feet and four accessory building on the property. The applicant is proposing to construct a <br />3,840 square foot accessory building that would meet all setback requirements in the agricultural <br />zoning district. This would bring the total square footage to 6,660 square feet; therefore, a <br />conditional use permit is necessary for the construction of the proposed accessory building. At its <br />July 8, 2010 meeting, the Planning Commission reviewed and considered the conditional use <br />permit request during a public hearing. There was no one that spoke at the public hearing. The <br />Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the conditional use permit to the <br />City Council. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2010-28 APPROVING <br />A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR JULIE AND VINCE LUTZ FOR AN ACCESSORY <br />BUILDING UP TO 125% OF THE PERMITTED SIZE IN THE AGRICUTRAL ZONING <br />DISTRICT ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 15118 IRISH AVENUE NORTH. <br />Approve Pay Request No. 3 for E.H. Renner from Construction on Well No. 6 <br />City staff received Pay Request No. 3 from Renner Construction for work completed to date on <br />the construction of Well No. 6 located near the intersection of TH61 and 125th Street. Senior <br />Engineering Technician Steve Duff and City Engineer Jay Kennedy have reviewed the pay <br />request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to date on the project. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved Pay Request No. 3 from E.H. Renner Construction for work <br />completed to date on the construction of Well No. 6 in the amount of $51,166.20. <br />Approve Pay Request No. 3 from Arnt Construction for Construction on T.H. 61 and 147th <br />Street Intersection Proiect <br />The City of Hugo received Pay Request No. 3 from Arnt Construction for work on the <br />TH61/147th Street Intersection Improvement Project. Senior Engineering Steve Duff has <br />reviewed the pay request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to date on the <br />project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Pay Request No. 3 to Arnt Construction in <br />the amount of $132,597.90 for work completed to date on the TH61/1471h Street Intersection <br />Improvement Project. <br />
