Hugo City Council Meeting of July 19, 2010 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />still owned by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, but it is not in use. Washington County <br />had requesting funding to purchase this portion of the rail and has received a grant for federal <br />funds in the amount of $600,000, which is approximately 80 percent of the total cost; however, <br />Ann Pung-Terwedo explained that these funds will not become available until 2013. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to direct staff to continue to work with Washington County <br />to research additional funding sources to make this project happen sooner than 2013. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />The Mayor asked County Planner Ann Pung-Terwedo to present this information to the Parks <br />Commission at one of its regularly scheduled meetings. <br />Schedule Ethan/Everton Avenue Neighborhood Meeting <br />At its July 6, 2010 meeting, the Council authorized a Feasibility Report for the public <br />improvements within the Ethan/Everton Avenue neighborhood. City staff is currently working <br />on the Feasibility Study, and recommends Council schedule a neighborhood meeting with the <br />residents to review and report on findings. <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to schedule the neighborhood meeting for Monday, <br />September 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approve Scheduling of Grand Opening for New Glamos Wire Office Building on October 15, <br />2010 <br />The City of Hugo was recently contacted by Paul Glamos from Glamos Wire for the notification <br />of the construction of a new office building, which will be completed by Ryan Construction. <br />Paul Glamos has invited the Hugo City Council to attend the grand opening celebration on <br />Friday, October 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in order to officially celebrate the opening of the new <br />Glamos Wire office building. <br />Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to schedule Friday, October 15, 2010 as a meeting of the <br />City Council to allow Council attendance at the Glamos Wire Grand Opening Celebration of <br />their new office building. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Emergency Notification Policy <br />Councilmember Haas added this item to the agenda. Hass questioned where staff was at in the <br />drafting of the Emergency Notification Policy. City Administrator Mike Ericson stated staff was <br />continuing to work on it and would provide the Council a copy of the latest draft at their August 2, <br />2010 meeting. <br />
