MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF MONDAY, AUGUST 2, 2010 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron <br />ABSENT: None <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mike Ericson, Community Development Director Bryan <br />Bear, City Engineer Jay Kennedy, City Attorney Dave Snyder, Community Development <br />Assistant Dennis Fields, Parks Planner Shayla Syverson, and City Clerk Michele Lindau <br />Moment of Silence for David Erickson <br />Mayor Fran Miron called for a moment of silence in respect for David Erickson, CEO of <br />Erickson Oil Products and Lake Area Bank in Hugo, who was killed in a motorcycle crash near <br />Bozeman Montana on July 28, 2010. Mayor Miron expressed his condolences to the family who <br />recently dealt with the tragedy of the murder -suicide of David's parents, Claire and Betty <br />Erickson in 2009. David was 55 years old. <br />Approval of Minutes for the City Council Meeting of July 19, 2010 <br />Klein made motion, Weidt seconded, to approve the minutes for the July 19, 2010 meeting as <br />presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of the Agenda <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the Agenda as amended: <br />Add to Consent Agenda: Temporary On -Sale Liquor License for the Hugo Lions for the Wilson <br />Tool Picnic on August 14, 2010 <br />Approve Award of Quote from Kangas Tank, Inc. for Power Wash and <br />Repairs to the South Water Tower <br />Add to Council Presentations: Nation Night Out Reminder <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Recognition of Pam Videen's Retirement from Historical Commission <br />Pam Videen was one of the original charter members of the Hugo Historical Commission, which <br />was formed by the Council in 2003. Pam is moving out of Hugo and has retired from the <br />Historical Commission. Commission Chair Kitty Cheesebrow stated the idea of preserving <br />Hugo's history came 7 1/2 years ago, and within six months, the Historical Commission was <br />
