Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for December 6, 2010 Page 3 of 9 Approve Summary Ordinance for Park Dedication Fee At its November 15, 2010 Meeting, the City Council discussed a Park Dedication Fee Ordinance that was recommended for approval by the Planning Commission after holding a public hearing. The Council adopted this ordinance which establishes park dedication fees for new residential developments. City staff has prepared a summary ordinance for publication in The Citizen newspaper. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Summary Ordinances as presented. Approve Renewal of Terms for Parks Commissioners Mathew Rauschendorfer, Rachel Berger, David Strub, and Jim Taylor The terms of four Parks and Recreation Commissioners expire at the end of 2010. City staff has contacted the Commissioners and they all wish to be reappointed. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the renewal of terms for Parks and Recreation Commissioners Mathew Rauschendorfer, Rachel Berger, David Strub, and Jim Taylor for three-year terms. Approve Renewal of Terms for Planning Commissioners Dave Schumann and Adam Moore The terms of two Planning Commissioners expire at the end of 2010. City staff has contacted the Commissioners and they all wish to be reappointed. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the renewal of terms for Planning Commissioners Dave Schumann and Adam Moore for four- year terms. Approve Renewal of Terms for Economic Development Authority for Fran Miron and Phil Klein The terms of Fran Miron and Phil Klein are set to expire at the end of 2010. Mayor Miron and Councilmember Klein serve as Council representatives on the EDA and are appointed annually. Mayor Miron and Councilmember Klein have agreed to serve another one-year term on the EDA. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the reappointment of Fran Miron and Phil Klein on the EDA for another one-year term. Approve Renewal of Terms for Board of Zoning Commissioners Dave Schumann, Tom Weidt, and Frank Puleo Annually, the Hugo City Council appoints a member of the Planning Commission, City Council, and a Citizen -at -Large to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals and Adjustments. For the past year, Councilmember Tom Weidt and Planning Commissioner Dave Schumann served on the Board of Zoning as well as Frank Puleo as Citizen -at -Large. Tom, Dave, and Frank have agreed to serve another year term on the Board of Zoning Appeals and Adjustments. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the reappointment of Dave Schumann, Tom Weidt, and Frank Puleo to the Board of Zoning Appeals and Adjustments for another one-year term.
