Hugo City Council Minutes for October 5, 2009 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />Schedule Date for Parks and Recreation Open House <br />The Parks and Recreation Sub -Committee would like to hold an Open House to help inform the <br />community of existing park and recreation opportunities that are available in Hugo. Also, the <br />Open House will serve as a kick-off to the Community Growth Options project to gather citizen <br />input on additional parks and recreation amenities the citizens of Hugo would like to see in the <br />near future or long-term. The Sub -Committee recommended that a Parks and Recreation Open <br />House be held on Tuesday, October 27th from 6 pm to Bpm in the Oneka Room. The Council <br />talked about the Yellow Ribbon Task Force meeting that was scheduled for that night at 7:00 <br />p.m. <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to request the Parks and Recreation Commission schedule <br />the Open House for a date in November. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />October 6, 2009 Emergency Preparedness Exhibit at the MN State Capitol <br />Farmers Insurance will hold an Emergency Preparedness Exhibit on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 <br />from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Minnesota State Capital. Mayor Fran Miron has agreed to speak at <br />the press conference to be held at 10: 00 a.m. Following the press conference, there will be tours <br />of the state-of-the-art mobile catastrophe center to learn about the latest in storm recovery <br />technology for Minnesotans. A special invitation has been extended to the Mayor, Hugo City <br />Council, City staff and Hugo residents to attend this event. This has been posted as a Council <br />meeting to allow Council to attend this event. <br />Discussion on CSAH14/8 and I-35 Interchange <br />Mayor Fran Miron added this item to the agenda. Earlier this evening, the City of Lino Lakes <br />City Council voted 5-0 to approve a Joint Powers Agreement with Anoka County for <br />improvements at the CSAH14 and I -35E interchange. Mayor Miron stated this was a much <br />needed transportation improvement. <br />Adiournment <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to adjourn at 7:29 p.m. <br />All Ayes.
