City Council Meeting of January 22, 2008 <br />Page 2 of 7 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Petryk made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Approve of Claims <br />Approve Rescheduling of Second Meeting in February to Tuesday, February 19th due to <br />Presidents Day Federal Holiday <br />Approve 2008 Equipment Purchases for the Public Works Department <br />Approve Pay Request #3 from EnComm Midwest for Work Completed on Well House No. 5 <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for January 22, 2008 as presented. <br />APPROVE RESCHEDULING OF SECOND MEETING IN FEBRUARY TO TUESDAY, <br />FEBRUARY 191H DUE TO PRESIDENTS DAY FEDERAL HOLIDAY <br />The Council's regularly scheduled seconded meeting of February falls on the Presidents Day <br />Federal Holiday. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the rescheduling of the second <br />meeting in February to Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. due to the Presidents Day <br />Federal Holiday. <br />APPROVE 2008 EQUIPMENT PURCHASES FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />DEPARTMENT <br />Included in its 2008 City budget, the Hugo City Council had approved the purchase of various <br />pieces of equipment for the Public Works Department. Public Works Director Chris Petree has <br />reviewed the list of purchases with Council Member Mike Granger, and he agreeded with the <br />demonstrated need to purchase the various pieces of equipment for 2008. The equipment will be <br />purchased off the state contract through the Cooperative Purchasing Venture (CPV) assuring the <br />City a fair and discounted price. Adoption of the Consent agenda approved the 2008 equipment <br />purchases for the Public Works Department which include a one -ton dump truck, bucket truck, <br />and replacement of the 2001 John Deere Mower. <br />APPROVE PAY REOUEST #3 FROM ENCOMM MIDWEST FOR WORK <br />COMPLETED TO DATE ON WELL HOUSE NO.5 <br />The City of Hugo has received pay request #3 from EnComm Midwest, Inc, for work completed <br />from December 1, 2007 to January 11, 2008 on the Well House No. 5 Project. Public Works <br />Director Chris Petree has reviewed the request and found it to be consistent for work completed <br />to date on the project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the pay request #3 for <br />$18,664.67 for work completed on the Well House No. 5 project. <br />APPROVAL OF REVISED CITY STREET ASSESSMENT POLICY <br />At its January 7, 2008 meeting, the City Council listened to a presentation from City Engineer <br />Jay Kennedy as he reviewed with Council the current City policy on street reconstruction and <br />street assessments, which has been in effect since 2002.
